The Hill: Democrats Want Shutdown to Reach into State of the Union

The money is there, so the shutdown is more of a political move than anything. In the past the Democrats have always been able to lay the blame of the shutdown on the GOP, so they are figuring that will be the case here. Never mind that the Democrats are putting illegal aliens before American Citizens, and the military funding necessary to defend this country.

According to The Hill, Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney on Sunday predicted that the government shutdown could last more than a week.

“I think Democrats want to see the president give the State of the Union under a shutdown,” he said on “Fox News Sunday.”

Mulvaney said Democrats want to hurt President Trump by keeping the government closed.

He also said, however, that negotiations are continuing on ending the shutdown and “there’s a chance it gets solved before Monday.”

Trump’s first State of the Union is scheduled for Jan. 30.

The problem is, the Democrats do not understand that they are not up against your run-of-the-mill Republican. Donald Trump is not politically correct, he is not a part of the establishment, and he didn’t seek the presidency for any personal reason associated with his ego. He is President because he believes he can make America great again.

If this goes to the State of the Union, my prediction is that at the State of the Union President Trump will destroy the Democrat Party for their anti-American actions, and even the pollsters who are predicting a Democrat victory in November’s mid-term election will begin to seriously worry.
