Money Donated to Georgetown Christian Group Is Rerouted to LGBT Militants

Georgetown is nominally a Catholic university. Yet it has long since fallen victim to leftists’ long march through the institutions. Groups that support traditional values are grudgingly tolerated for now, but try donating to one and you may be surprised where the money ends up:

From November to December 2017, at least $400 in donations were deposited with the Center for Student Engagement, but never appeared in Love Saxa’s account, according to the letter [sent by Alliance Defending Freedom to Georgetown’s President].

Love Saxa promotes “healthy relations and sexual integrity,” despite the current unpopularity of sexual morals.

One donor received a receipt from Georgetown showing that his $50 gift had been allocated to the “LGBTQ Resource Center Reserve.” Another donor receipt for $100 was tagged for the Saxatones a cappella group, who, ADF noted, “partnered with the Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League.”

Educrats came up with an excuse for why Love Saxa did not get the money, but not for why at least some of the money went to groups advocating perversion and degeneracy.

The funds’ strange movement occurred against the backdrop of a Georgetown investigation into the club, said [ADF legal counsel Travis] Barham, and an effort by the Student Activities Commission to defund the group for being “hateful,” “archaic,” and “dehumanizing.”

Georgetown, a Catholic institution, has been heavily criticized for its treatment of the Christian club.

Imagine a university accidently rerouting donations intended for LGBT militants so that they are received by a wholesome organization. If it ever happened, heads would roll. But is isn’t likely to happen.
