Google Cracks Down on Instructional Gun Videos on YouTube

Google/YouTube proves once again that it is too ideological to serve as a reliable component of the information infrastructure. Presumably exploiting Parkland as a pretext to attack pro-liberty gun culture as so many others on the left have been doing, it has announced a new policy on instructional videos, banning content from YouTube that commits the following infractions:

Intends to sell firearms or certain firearms accessories through direct sales (e.g., private sales by individuals) or links to sites that sell these items. These accessories include but may not be limited to accessories that enable a firearm to simulate automatic fire or convert a firearm to automatic fire (e.g., bump stocks, gatling triggers, drop-in auto sears, conversion kits), and high capacity magazines (i.e., magazines or belts carrying more than 30 rounds).

Provides instructions on manufacturing a firearm, ammunition, high capacity magazine, homemade silencers/suppressors, or certain firearms accessories such as those listed above. This also includes instructions on how to convert a firearm to automatic or simulated automatic firing capabilities.

Shows users how to install the above-mentioned accessories or modifications.

Mixed in with arguably reasonable measures regarding converting guns to full auto is censorship of legal technology. Worse, you can now lose your YouTube channel for linking to a business that sells firearms.

Every time there is a tragedy involving a gun, the ratchet tightens. Who knows what restrictions Google will impose after the next shooting?

Rather than wait to find out, some gun enthusiasts are already bailing out. More reliable alternatives already exist, including RECOILtv. Some have resorted to using Pornhub, which couldn’t be less wholesome than moonbat-infested Google.
