The Bertrand Report The War For Our Mind & Soul Continues
By Capt. Dave Bertrand, Ret.
Major controversy over Trump’s threats of a Mueller shutdown from all sides. Trey Gowdy surprised me with his statement that “if you are innocent, then act like it and let Mueller do his job.” I call BS on that statement…..
The Mueller investigation was initially convened to determine “Russian Collusion.” During the investigation, Mueller was given authority to do whatever he wanted in-order to take-down this president. Mueller is a corrupt Hillary Clinton insider that has gone beyond his call of duty. Pulling straws by indicting “Russian bots” is the most that he has discovered and that has proven to be a joke.
Both Republicans and Democrats are telling Trump that if he in-fact shuts down Mueller, it will then put Trump on the way to the end of his presidency.
President Trump has full authority to shut Mueller down and should immediately……..
Regardless if the Communist Left push the narrative that more Russian Collusion evidence is still out there and Trump is shutting Mueller down to hide that alleged evidence, is a weak argument.
The ONLY effective way to successfully gain a foothold on this out-of-control “Witch Hunt” is to (1) shut Mueller down and (2) begin indicting all the conspirators involving the email and dossier scandal, including Uranium One.
It’s time for Trump to go on the offensive immediately and while he is at it….SHUT DOWN THE WHITE HOUSE PRESS CORPS.

Note: Former FBI Comey has threatened Trump on Twitter this past weekend….plans to expose Trump with corruption. I think Comey needs a review of what he faces himself……
Trump keeps up attacks on escalating Russia investigation
In a series of weekend tweets, Trump jabbed directly at Mueller by name for the first time. The president challenged the investigation’s existence and suggested political bias on the part of Mueller’s investigators. Trump has long been frustrated by the lengthy and intensifying probe, and insists his campaign did not collude with Russia to influence the election in his favor.
“The Mueller probe should never have been started in that there was no collusion and there was no crime,” he said in a late Saturday tweet.
Likely contributing to Trump’s sense of frustration, The New York Times reported last week that Mueller had subpoenaed the Trump Organization for Russia-related documents. Trump had said Mueller would cross a red line with such a step.
“Why does the Mueller team have 13 hardened Democrats, some big Crooked Hillary supporters, and Zero Republicans?” he tweeted Sunday.
Some of Mueller’s investigators indeed have contributed to Democratic political candidates, but Justice Department policy and federal service law bar discrimination in the hiring of career positions on the basis of political affiliation. Mueller is a Republican.
The tweets revived talk that Trump may, in an attempt to end the investigation, move to have Mueller fired. Cobb sought to tamp down the speculation.
“In response to media speculation and related questions being posed to the Administration, the White House yet again confirms that the President is not considering or discussing the firing of the Special Counsel, Robert Mueller,” he said.
Trump on Monday tweeted: “A total WITCH HUNT with massive conflicts of interest!”
Earlier Sunday, members of Congress, including some top Republicans, warned Trump to not even think about terminating Mueller.

Trump needs to hire a special investigator to investigate Muller. I am sure an honest investigation would tie him to lots of crimes.

“President Trump has full authority to shut Mueller down and should immediately…”

The obvious problem with that is that the Dems would immediately call for his impeachment based on obstruction of justice; and it’s not at all clear that Trump has enough Republican allies in the House to prevent it from happening.
