Wait a minute! Republican Party of Texas trying to fund raise off of Democrats attacking their own?

The primary results were interesting, no question about it. And we’ll talk more about that in the future. But today, I want to highlight the latest Republican Party of Texas fundraising email:

Fellow Republicans,

National Democrats are once again attacking their own primary candidates so they can have a better chance at winning in the General Election. This is an ongoing trend for National Democrats who influenced their primary elections in 2016 and show no signs of stopping.

Now the National Democrats are influencing a race in Harris County, Texas. These continued attacks against their own candidates prove that Democrats don’t even trust their own voters. And these are the folks who want to control Congress and the Texas Capitol??!

During the primary, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is attacking Laura Moser, a Democrat candidate in Harris County, because they will stop at nothing to win – including sabotaging the will of their own voters.

A spokesman for the DCCC explained by saying, “When there’s a… candidate that would eliminate our ability to flip a district blue, that’s a time when it becomes necessary to get involved in these primaries. This district is too important to let it go without trying.”

The Democrats are so desperate to try to win in the general election that they are willing to throw away the integrity of the primary process by rigging the game against their own voters.

But this was not the first time in recent history that the Democrats have played dirty with the primary process! During the 2016 presidential primary, the Democrat Party influenced their elections in order to ensure a Hillary Clinton victory over Bernie Sanders.

Is this the type of party you want taking back control of Congress or representing Texas?

Seriously? The Republican Party of Texas thinks it’s a bad idea for a political party to attack it’s own candidates?

Where, pray tell, were they when the Republican governor of Texas was ATTACKING REPUBLICANS?!!!

Good Lord almighty, these people really do think that we are mind numbed robots.

The thing is, the Republican governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, wasn’t attacking Republicans in order to win and expand the number of Republicans. No, he was attacking them because he is a thin-skinned politician that would rather lose a Republican seat than deal with elected officials that want to reign in his pay-for-play gubernatorial appointments. He couldn’t give a rat’s ass about expanding the Republican Party – all he cares about is keeping his job and raising money. Always, always raising money. And instead of supporting other Republicans with that money, he attacks them.

And yet here comes the RPT, trying to fund raise because Democrats don’t trust their own voters. They say that Democrats “will stop at nothing to win – including sabotaging the will of their own voters”. Let me rephrase that for Mr. Dickey and his communications team at the RPT:

Greg Abbott will stop at nothing to LOSE Republican seats in the legislature – including sabotaging the will of Republican voters.

The Republican governor of Texas owes all Republican voters an apology for his outrageous behavior. But instead of apologizing, he is out there saying that “we must come together”.

Kum-ba-ya, mofo.
