University of California, San Diego Explicitly Requires All Faculty to Demonstrate Commitment to Moonbattery

As part of the Long March Through the Institutions, the Left has conquered higher education, where radical leftists no longer struggle for power, only to consolidate it. The goal now is to eradicate even the slightest trace of non-leftist thought, so that alternatives to leftism will seem as inconceivable to students as a world without water would seem to a deep-sea fish at the bottom of the ocean.

They see no need to be subtle about the ideological homogeneity they are imposing. For example, the University of California, San Diego explicitly requires all incoming faculty to be active cultural Marxists, as stated by the Center for Faculty Diversity and Inclusion:

All candidates applying for faculty appointments at UC San Diego are required to submit a personal statement on their contributions to diversity. The purpose of the statement is to identify candidates who have the professional skills, experience, and/or willingness to engage in activities that will advance our campus diversity and equity goals.

In accordance with APM 210-1-d, “these contributions to diversity and equal opportunity can take a variety of forms including efforts to advance equitable access to education, public service that addresses the needs of California’s diverse population, or research in a scholar’s area of expertise that highlights inequalities.”

When they bark about “diversity,” they most definitely are not referring to diversity of thought.

It doesn’t matter if you teach a subject that has nothing to do with politics. Non-leftists need not apply.

On a tip from Jester. Hat tip: The Political Hat.
