Bernie Sanders Makes Over $1 Million Again

Under socialism, only members of the oligarchy can get rich. Capitalism allows anyone to get rich — even socialists like Bernie Sanders:

For the second year in a row, Sen. Bernie Sanders’ income topped seven figures.

A recent financial disclosure report shows the junior Vermont senator made nearly $1.06 million in 2017. Most of his income — $885,767 — came from advances and royalties, according to the report filed in May.

Sanders gets a relatively modest $174,000 for his “service” as an ultraleft Senator. Yet he can afford to fling away $600,000 on a summer home. He makes the big bucks now thanks to his alarming run for President.

The 2016 presidential bid catapulted him to national prominence and paved the way for lucrative public speaking and publishing opportunities.

Sanders’ schtick consists of clichéd Marxist rhetoric demonizing millionaires like himself.

If he feels such a burning need to redistribute wealth, he should start with his own. Except that would be voluntary and therefore in conflict with the core principle of all leftists, which is coercion.

Bernie Sanders is a fraud. But his supporters are such fools that this being obvious doesn’t make any difference.
