More Mueller Incompetence

As I’ve noted before, Robert Mueller is not a very effective prosecutor.  He demonstrated that once again this week when he managed to draw the ire of Judge Emmet Sullivan.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller has asked for yet another delay in the sentencing of former National Security Advisor General Mike Flynn.

In [36] joint status report, the parties request that the Court refer this case for the preparation of presentence investigation report.  However, the parties also state that this matter is not ready to be scheduled for a sentencing hearing “Due to the status of the Special Counsel’s investigation.”  The parties are directed to file a pleading no later than July 2, 2018 at 12:00PM providing reasons why the Court should expend the Probation Offices resources and depart from the Court’s usual practice of scheduling a presentence report, scheduling a sentencing date, and establishing a sentencing briefing schedule at the same time.  Signed by Judge Emmet G. It’s also worth noting that the Judge in Paul Manafort’s case has been openly skeptical of the Special Counsel’s stated aims and intentions, while the Judge hearing United States V. Concord Management has also been showing signs of impatience with the Office of the Special Counsel.
