Wherever Big Government has a hand, it will push the progressive agenda. For example, the Canadian government plans to promote homosexuality on the currency it issues:
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has approved a dollar coin to celebrate the LGBT experience and commemorate the 50th anniversary of the decriminalization of homosexuality in Canada.
At least they picked the right coin for this looniness.
The dollar coin, dubbed a “loonie” in Canada because a loon appears on one side of the coin, will be issued by the Royal Canadian Mint and be circulated throughout Canada as regular tender.
Canada has been handing out loonies aplenty to reward those who were allegedly oppressed for their sacred gayness. As in countries throughout the world, depraved sex acts of a homosexual nature once were unlawful in Canada. This constitutes a historical sin against political correctness that is ripe for exploitation by the Culture Marxists in charge. They have obsequiously apologized:
The official apology also came with a budget of $145 million, which includes $110 million for compensation for LGBT former civil servants whose careers were sidelined or terminated because of their sexuality, and $15 million for historical reconciliation, education and memorialization efforts.
This isn’t the first time Canada used its currency to inflict Cultural Marxism on those who use it.
Earlier this year, the Bank of Canada issued a new design for the $10 banknote celebrating Viola Desmond, a black woman who challenged racial segregation at a cinema in New Glasgow, N.S., in 1946.
