New Improved Global Warming Terminology: Now With More Hysteria!

In the fable “The Boy Who Cried Wolf,” a shepherd boy keeps crying “Wolf!” to watch the townspeople come running. They figure out that there isn’t any wolf and stop reacting. He should have switched to crying “Tyrannosaurus rex!” instead. At least, that is the strategy a global warming hoaxer proposes.

First, they changed “global warming” to “climate change,” because as the decades passed, people began to notice that it is not perceptibly warmer, despite their cataclysmic predictions. Now, people have started to realize that the climate always changes, regardless of whether we submit to leftist power grabs. So it’s time for another revision to the Newspeak Dictionary.

Writing for AdAge this week, Aaron Hall argues that in order to get people to “take action” against climate change, “rebranding” is crucial, since people have gotten too used to the idea that climate is changing and need to be shocked into the notion that the world as we know it is ending.

Hall suggests using the terms “global meltdown,” “climate collapse,” and “scorched Earth.”

The prevailing theory is that hyperbolic hysteria will cause people to take the hoax more seriously. Failure is an indication that you must double down with still more excessive exaggerations and fabrications.

The strategy has worked marvelously on children like Greta Thunberg and Ben Pickles.
