Mark Kelly Got the Guns and Ammo Bug and Got Busted – He Should Face Up to It but His “Advocacy” Paycheck Keeps him Lyin

Oh, what a tangled web we weave…

On March 5th 2013, Mark Kelly, husband of former Congresswoman Gabby Gifford, was caught buying an AR-15 and a semi-automatic handgun at a gun store in Tucson, Arizona last week so he rushed out and got himself a spot on Wolf Blitzer’s show where he claimed he did it all to show America how easy and quick it was to purchase these guns.

We already knew that if you were a law-abiding citizen with a clean background you could purchase these weapons with little difficulty. He passed the background check of course and had to wait for the weapons as per law. So what was he “showing” us?

Nothing.

Kelly got busted not because the gun dealer ratted him out. In fact, the idiot probably thought no one would notice. He got found out because someone named Neil McCabe, editor of Guns & Patriots newsletter, got wind of the purchase and contacted the Breitbart guys.

Yes, I know. It’s Breitbart. They lie for cash. That’s true. But the story is easily verified to a point so bare with me.

On March 7th McCabe contacted Breitbart saying:

“Mark E. Kelly, made purchases which included an AR-15–sometimes described as an “assault rifle”–at 3:30 pm on the afternoon of March 5 at Diamondback Police Supply, 170 S. Kolb Street, Tucson, AZ.” Breitbart

He told them that he had contacted Kelly’s gun control group–”Americans for Responsible Solutions” – and asked them about the purchase. You see, Mark Kelly, like all other “doing it for the right reasons activists” actually started a “not-for-profit” advocacy group with his wounded wife which purports to lobby to have our gun rights taken away. I’m sure they “advocate” much the same way Bono “advocates” and you can take that to mean whatever you want. Point is, it’s a way to make money.

The “Responsible Solutions” folks didn’t reply to McCabe’s email til the 8th of this month and on that same day, Kelly posted a Facebook page admitting the gun purchase and claiming he did it to make a point.

If he did it to make a point, he wouldn’t have waited for 3 days to announce it knowing that if someone got wind of it, it would look like he was the WORST kind of hypocrite. I mean, he had just gone back to the shopping center with Gabby where she was shot a day after he bought the gun. He’s been raising cash for his gun-grabbing “advocacy group” by dragging his brain damaged wife from event to event. Now he gets caught buying not ONLY a semi-automatic handgun (45 1911 style) but also an AR-15 and in some reports 30 round hi-capacity magazines?

There is absolutely no way they planned this as a stunt to heighten awareness of the legality of buying these weapons. If that had been the case, they would have had a statement ready for McCabe on March 6th. Instead it seems they had to jump into spin control and it took them two days to come up with this lousy bullshit story.

Granted, the Breitbart article was published on the 9th. It certainly came out before Wolf Blitzer CNN SpinFixer show, but it was apparently after the Facebook confession posted by Kelly.

McCabe is also a question-mark in some much as his history is a bit shady. His bio at Human Events claims he went to Iraq as a “combat historian” which means he was one of those embedded journalists there to white-wash what we did to that country.

I went to his Twitter feed to see when he first mentioned the gun purchase and this guy Tweets like he thinks the world is just sitting around waiting for whatever tidbit of wisdom is rattling around in his head. He was ESPECIALLY active on the 7th as that was the day of the Great Rand Paul Grandstanding Move in the senate.

I could see where it seemed the first mention of Mark Kelly’s purchase on his Twitter feed seems to have been on March 10th but I couldn’t go all the way back through the THOUSANDS of Rand-sucking Tweets this guy spammed up. I went back as far as early on the 7th so I don’t think he mentioned it before that.

I find that a bit odd. Here is a guy who is adamant about protecting our 2nd amendment rights and he finds out on March 6th that Mark Kelly bought an AR-15 and he just sits on it til the guy can post some spin on the 8th?

The Breitbart story came out the next day and Mark went into complete spin-fix mode. You can imagine considering the money he’s getting paid to run his gun-grabbing “advocacy” group.

On March 11th, Mark Kelly went on CNN Blitzer show and said that he didn’t know anything about Breitbart. That’s bullshit or he lives under a rock. Then he made the claim that it was always “a plan” for him to go into the store, “and buy the handgun” and when he saw the AR-15 he went ahead and did the background check for that one and purchased it as well. He hadn’t received it as of the taping for the show. The store says it takes 20 days. A 20 day waiting period for extensive background checks for a guy with Mark Kelly’s resume.

Yeah. He’s making a good point there, huh?

There’s also not a single mention of Mark’s big publicity stunt on his “advocacy” website. In fact, they haven’t touched the site since March 6th. But there is a huge DONATIONS button.

Then Kelly goes on to expose the bullshit of his story by saying he intends to “turn in” the AR-15 to the cops… but he will keep the handgun.

Now wait a minute. If he went in there to purchase a handgun just to make a point, wouldn’t it stand to reason that he planned to turn that one in?

Let’s try this one on for size:

Mark Kelly went into a gun store to purchase a 45 cal semi-automatic handgun for his personal protection because he is surely aware as the gun-grabbing campaign takes off there will be some people out there who are a bit perturbed at the “advocates” who make a buck stripping citizens of their 2nd amendment rights.

After making that purchase, he sees a shiny used AR-15 sitting there calling out his name, so he buys it thinking he’s not in a state where they automatically report gun purchases and he figures by time it’s disclosed in a couple years, who will really care while they are digging through garbage cans looking for food.

Unfortunately for him, there is this little thing called the internet and people out there who are actively working to help us KEEP our rights just as there are “advocacy groups” like Mark’s which are making bank trying to strip them from us.

Little bald Markie-Mark made a mistake. While his wife was home putting make-up on her scars, he got the Guns and Ammo bug and bought himself an assault rifle. And he got busted for it. It’s that simple. He figured there are two sets of rules in America – the “Us and Them” principle which the elites and their man-servants like Markie-Mark count on.

Didn’t work out. Who does he think he is, Dick Cheney?

Now he claims he will turn in the long gun to the cops. Sure he will….
