NSA’s “Transition 2001″ Document and “Rebuilding America’s Defenses” – Our Transition Outlined Long Before “New Pearl Harbor”

Long before the “GWOT” (Global War OF Terror) rebooted on Sept. 11th, 2001 (it was announced by Reagan before 9/11), the NSA was calling for our leaders to start to “rethink” the 4th Amendment to the constitution. The document that makes this suggestion was called “Transition 2001” dated Dec. 2000. They were making ready for the “transition” that was going to take place under the Bush administration.

When you line that up along with the paper by the Project for a New American Century’s “Rebuilding America’s Defenses” paper (Sept. 2000) you start to get a clearer picture of the transition they had in mind and what was needed to see it through.

“The Fourth Amendment is as applicable to eSIGINT as it is to the SIGINT of yesterday and today,” it wrote. “The Information Age will however cause us to rethink and reapply the procedures, policies and authorities born in an earlier electronic surveillance environment.

… “Make no mistake, NSA can and will perform its missions consistent with the Fourth Amendment and all applicable laws. But senior leadership must understand that today’s and tomorrow’s mission will demand a powerful, permanent presence on a global telecommunications network that will host the ‘protected’ communications of Americans as well as the targeted communications of adversaries.”

For those of you in the know, you might find that word “transition” interesting as it relates to another document dated the same year, dated Sept. 2000. It a document called “Rebuilding America’s Defenses: Strategy, Forces and Resources for a New Century ” (PDF):

“Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor. Domestic politics and industrial policy will shape the pace and content of transformation as much as the requirements of current missions.”

“Control of space and cyberspace. Much as control of the high seas – and the protection of international commerce – defined global powers in the past, so will control of the new “international commons” be a key to world power in the future. An America incapable of protecting its interests or that of its allies in space or the “infosphere” will find it difficult to exert global political leadership” Rebuilding America’s Defenses,  p. 51 Sept. 2000

This country is well into the transition the fascists at the Project for a New American Century outlined 13 years ago. They envisioned a road-map which would lead to full spectrum dominance of commerce, trade, financial markets, and global political leadership.

We see the steps they have taken lined up over time: the collapse of the global economy, various regime change operations (some failed, some didn’t) and of course, the ever present threat from the secret, hidden terrorists, usually fabricated by either the FBI or some other nameless organization.

And now we start to see even the MSM openly discussing the unconstitutional surveillance state and how it is reaching further and further into our lives in order to know and record everything about everyone.

It’s important to remember the beginning of it all and the “New Pearl Harbor” event that kick-started it. It is important to remember it was exactly what they wanted, when they wanted it in order to justify the transition of our representative republic into a full blown totalitarian fascism.
