Why is Our First Black President Fighting So Hard to Protect Slavery?

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

by Scott Creighton

The argument is forming that it’s OK for the first black president in our history to support slavery just so long as he does it in the service of our quest for global domination.

President Obama got his Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) passed through the senate last Friday evening but it included something, a “poison pill” as the Washington Post called it, that he and his army of corporate lobbyist didn’t want any part of: the No Fast Track for Human Trafficking amendment written by Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.)

This amendment has been a particular point of contention for the Nobel Peace Prize “winning” first African-American president of the United States and all the corporate lobbyists that serve in his administration.

The amendment itself is simple. It states that no country will be allowed to engage in a trade agreement with the US (TPP, TTIP or others) if they are considered a Tier 3 nation in terms of human trafficking, forced labor and slavery.

The No Fast Track for Human Traffickers amendment, introduced by Senator Menendez (D-NJ), stipulates that the United States cannot enter into formal trade agreements with countries that the State Department identifies as a Tier 3 ranking in its annual Trafficking in Persons (TIP) report. This means our trading partners have to take direct action to address labor and sex slavery within their borders before they enter into trade agreements with the United States. CCFJ

You would think that for the first black American president, a declaration like this would be assumed. You would also think that support for something like this being included in the horrendous trade bills like the TPP and the TTIP would be a given at least on the left of the artificial political divide in this country.

On both counts, you would be wrong.

Will ethical and moral concerns be upheld by the senators, or might this end up being just lip service?  I raise this question because I am disturbed that corporate lobbyists and the Obama administration are now working to push the Senate to water down or completely strip the Menendez amendment. The Hill

On Friday night, in an impressive display of dysfunction, the U.S. Senate approved a controversial trade bill with a provision that the White House, Senate leadership and the author of the language himself wanted taken out. Huffington Post

The argument in favor of Obama’s position is starting to take shape nearly a week after this “poison pill” was passed unadulterated along with the TPA bill. The argument revolves around one nation and only one: Malaysia.

You see, Malaysia is on that State Department Tier 3 list along with all the other countries we hate like Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Venezuela.

Do you really think they have slaves in Venezuela?

Interestingly enough, there is not a single European country on that Tier 3 list, yet, according to their own numbers on that State Department website, in 2013, the same year that list was compiled, there were 10,374 identified victims of human trafficking for the purposes of forced labor or sex slavery. There were over 3,000 prosecutions in Europe in 2013 alone.

Fact is, there were more identified victims in Europe that year than there were in any other area of the world and that includes Africa and East Asia.

Yet, not a single member state of the EU made the Tier 3 list.

The Huffington Post (previously owned by AOL and now by Comcast) is the leading trend-setter for the fake left. They put out the propaganda and everyone else seems to follow along. It used to be the New York Times but they blew their credibility with their dogged support for the Bush administration lies back in 2002 and 2003 and the fake left can no longer parrot the Times’ propaganda without making themselves suspect.

The propaganda they are trying to put out now is utterly ridiculous.

They are arguing that President Peace Prize has to put forward an effort to squash the Mendez amendment because one of the potential TPP partners, Malaysia, is on that Tier 3 list and if we don’t scrape it, the amendment will force us to dis-include them from the agreement.

This, according to the Huffington Post, is problematic in our efforts to “push back against the rise of China”

Understanding this is key to understanding why President Barack Obama has been pushing so aggressively for a trade deal that so many of his allies insist will harm American workers. It’s about global power, geopolitics and pushing back against the rise of China. And that starts with Malaysia. Huffington Post

Forget for a second that this petty bourgeoisie mouthpiece for the establishment just suggested Obama has to sell out American workers in order to “push back” against China. We’ll let that go for now.

Focus instead on what he says about Malaysia, that the Obama administration has to turn a blind eye to the suffering of slaves in order to make sure he wins in his “pivot to Asia” campaign.

You see, Malaysia is an important player in the world trade game. Not so much because of what they produce with their slaves, but because of the Malacca Strait.

The Malacca Strait is like the Panama Canal and the Strait of Hormuz in that a great percentage of the world’s trade must pass through it in order to get to where they are going.

In fact, in that area of the world, a great deal of the cargo ships move through the strait, something like 90%.

It’s a short-cut that keeps ships from having to travel all the way around Indonesia to get from the oil in the Persian Gulf to China or from the cheap factories in China to Europe.

And the strait cuts right through Malaysia.

The argument of the Obama apologists at places like the Council on Foreign Relations and the Huffington Post goes something like this:

They argue that the deal, which the Obama administration is forging with 11 other Pacific nations, will show that Washington is not going to allow an expansionist Beijing to dominate the region with tactics ranging from bullying smaller nations to building island fortresses in disputed waters. A March 2015 report from the Council on Foreign Relations lists granting Obama trade promotion authority — which will grease the skids for the TPP to pass Congress — as the top way in which the legislators can ensure a smart U.S. response to China’s rise.

Malaysia, and the Strait of Malacca, is the lynchpin of that kind of thinking.

… All of this makes a TPP without Malaysia a TPP that is far less strategically valuable to the U.S. — and that sends a much weaker signal to China.

If the House isn’t able to modify the anti-slavery language and thereby secure the U.S.’s chance to sign a deal with Malaysia, Brown’s goals could be accomplished — and Obama’s vision of a strong TPP and U.S. authority across the Pacific could be shattered. Huffington Post

Allowing slavery in our favored trade nations is thus a “smart U.S. response to China’s rise” and if we don’t do that, it may signal we are too “weak” and therefore harm Obama’s “vision” of U.S. hegemony in the region.

Now imagine if you would something like that being written about a George W Bush administration.  The firestorm it would ignite across the left side of the fake divide would biblical in scope. The self-righteous indignation could be seen and measured from the International Space Station who’s occupants would rightly be scared to return home.

There would be protesters quitting their jobs and abandoning their families so they could rush to D.C. to demand resignations and accountability and God knows what else.

What do we have from the fake left today after this crap is revealed about the Obama administration?

[crickets]

[tumbleweed]

We have nothing. Not a peep. Business as usual.

Thus is the power of “left cover” and thus is the reason people like Pelosi and the Clintons are paid so much for their services.

So, is all of this really about Malaysia and our efforts to protect the world from the influences of China?

Of course not.

Let me put this very simply.

The State Department could easily remove Malaysia from the Tier 3 list. Problem solved. End of argument.

For that matter, do you really think we are going to sanction China by shutting off their trade routes? How many American companies manufacture in China? 10,000? More? Do you think Apple has a lobbyist or two hundred in D.C.? How much investment does China have in the U.S.? How many of our bonds do they hold? It’s said that China could bankrupt the U.S. and turn the dollar into garbage overnight if they wanted to. If they called in all those bonds and nationalized Apple along with the other thousands of U.S. businesses over there, what do you think would happen to President Peace Prize and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce? What do you think would happen to Walmart if China got pissed off at us?

Globalization has made us dependent on China. Cheap products for U.S. consumers, low paying jobs by the ton at Walmart and MASSIVE profits for U.S. businesses make it very clear that our glorious leaders have absolutely no interest in decimating trade relations with that country.

So, any arguments they put forward to that end are tantamount to the old Cold War “red scare” propaganda.

And as ridiculously weak as the Huffington Post/CFR apologist’s argument is, they apparently feel it’s still better than them having to report on the truth, the extremely ugly truth.

Fact is, that Tier 3 list is meaningless. It’s propaganda in the first place. Venezuela and North Korea don’t have a history of slavery that I know of. The United States does. So does Germany and England. Mass slavery in the case of fascist Germany. They called them “concentration camps” but no one was there to concentrate on anything. They were there to work. For free. As slaves. And several of those camps supported U.S. businesses. Ford for instance had several factories all across occupied Europe where they built tanks for the German army. They got mad and sued the U.S. when we bombed some of those factories… and they won. They had slaves working for them.

We have something like slaves here in the states today. Prison labor working for private companies is commonplace now. They are given a choice though: sit in their cells 23 hours a day talking to no one or go to work for some company making 35 cents an hour. Well, you could call that a choice.

Truth is, Obama and the corporate lobbyists want that amendment removed from the TPA because they know for a fact that forced labor, slave labor, is the trend of the future.

Businesses are interested in only one thing: improving the profit margins from the previous year or quarter. And in the end, slavery is going to be the only way they can do that as the race to the bottom gathers momentum.

They don’t want congress to have the opportunity to step in and determine who we do business with based on such criteria because they know, in the end they wont be able to do business with any of their friendly fascist countries if they do.

Without slavery, the race to the bottom has no prize.

That’s the kind of people we’re dealing with. The kind of people President Obama has advising him. The kind of people who wrote the TPP and the TTIP in the first place.

The idea of slavery is so morally reprehensible to the vast majority of Americans, the folks in the senate couldn’t get themselves to vote to remove the amendment to the TPA bill. They didn’t want to go on record supporting slavery. That kind of thing has a way of sticking with a politician for the rest of his career.

Nor did they want to support the proposed kinder-gentler version of the Menendez amendment which would have stipulated that such nations promise to stop using slaves sometime in the future, when they get around to it.

Anybody ever heard of George Herbert Walker Bush? Ever wondered why the man has 4 names?

Let me give you a little insight into just how close the White House is and has been to slavery over the last few terms so that you might understand why this first black president of ours isn’t so keen on stopping slavery around the world.

George Herbert Walker was G.H.W. Bush’s maternal grandfather. He came from a slave-owning family in Maryland who also just happened to be a Nazi banker as he was a director of Union Banking Corporation along with his son, Prescott.

The Union Banking Corporation (UBC) was a banking corporation in the US whose assets were seized by the United States government during World War II under the Trading with the Enemy Act and Executive Order No. 9095.

But that wasn’t the full extent of George Herbert Walker’s and his son, Prescott Bush’s business connections with Nazi Germany. They liked the profits produced by slave labor at places like Auschwitz.

UBC’s original group of business associates included George Herbert Walker, President Bush’s maternal great-grandfather, who had a relationship with the Harriman family that began in 1919. In 1922, Walker and W. Averell Harriman traveled to Berlin to set up the German branch of their banking and investment operations, which were largely based on critical war resources such as steel and coal.

The Walker-Harriman-created German industrial alliance also included partnership with another German titan who supported Hitler’s rise, Friedrich Flick, who partnered with Thyssen in the German Steel Trust that forged the Nazi war machine. For his role in using slave labor and his own steel, coal and arms resources to build Hitler’s war effort, Flick was convicted at the Nuremberg trials and sentenced to prison. John Buchannan, 2003

Thyssen owned the largest steel and coal company in Germany and grew rich from Hitler’s efforts to re-arm between the two world wars. One of the pillars in Thyssen’s international corporate web, UBC, worked exclusively for, and was owned by, a Thyssen-controlled bank in the Netherlands. More tantalising are Bush’s links to the Consolidated Silesian Steel Company (CSSC), based in mineral rich Silesia on the German-Polish border. During the war, the company made use of Nazi slave labour from the concentration camps, including Auschwitz. Guardian, 2004

Although Union Banking Corporation (UBC) was exposed as a de facto Nazi front organization by the U.S. government in Congressional hearings, Prescott Bush, Harriman, and George Herbert Walker continued doing business with the Nazis for 8 months after the U.S. entered World War II. When the US government seized control of UBC under the “Trading with the Enemy Act,” all the shares were owned by Prescott Bush, E. Roland Harriman, three Nazi executives, and two other Bush associates (Four of the eight directors were members of Skull and Bones, class of 1917). The US government also seized several subsidiaries run by the Bush-Harriman bank (UBC), including The Holland-American Trading Corp., the Seamless Steel Equipment Corp, the Silesian-American Corp., and the Harriman Fifteen Holding Company and determined that huge sections of Prescott Bush’s empire were operated on behalf of Nazi Germany and had greatly assisted the Nazi war effort.

Bush and his partners profited greatly from the slave labor at Auschwitz via a partnership with I.G. Farben, the third largest business in Germany under Hitler. U.S. government reports also indicate that UBC was an interlocking concern with the German Steel Trust and Congressional reports show that German Steel Trust furnished the Nazi government with 51% of its pig iron, 41.4% of its universal plat, 36% of heavy plate, 38.5% of galvanized plate, 42.5% of pipes and tubes, 22.1% of wire, and 35% of explosives. Bush and Harriman each received $1.5 million in compensation for their seized assets. Dr. Erik Karlstrom, 2004

Far too little has been written about the Bush family fortunes and how they link back to the horrors of Auschwitz and other concentration camps.  Perhaps that’s because these days, the media is simply a servant branch of that New World Order everyone from Hitler to Poppy Bush to Rockefeller were dreaming of.

And let’s not forget, the Bush political dynasty created Bill Clinton as a fake left Trojan Horse… and thus, they also created Barack Obama by extension (Clintons groomed Barack politically from day one)

Now, given all of that, is it really so surprising that President Peace Prize is quietly working behind the scenes to remove language from a piece of legislation that forbids the U.S. from doing business with slave-holding nations?

And isn’t that far more telling than the new left-cover excuse that the Huffington Post contrived this morning: that we Obama has to do it in order to stop China from taking over the world?

Barack Obama supports slavery across the world, not just in Malaysia, because the political dynasty that made him, the Prescott Bush/George Herbert Walker family, has a nearly 100 year-old history of supporting and profiting from mass, institutional slavery. And that’s also why so many republicans and “New Dems” support it as well.

It has nothing to do with China or the pivot to Asia and everything to do with fascism, the Bush Family Fortunes and the New World Order.

But I guess that isn’t something that places like the Huffington Post wish to explain to their readers. For them it’s easier to simply blame China.

But that’s why the first black American president supports slavery.

Some may argue that I am essentially blaming Bush for Obama’s sins and I guess in a way that is true. However, don’t misunderstand what I am saying.

Barack Obama is a grown man and can make decisions for himself.

Thus, he decided to take this stand and work behind the scenes to promote slavery across the world.

At some point in time he must have sat down with his wife and pondered on the idea of being the first black president and supporting the institution of slavery. He and his partner must have had that conversation and in the end, after weighing the pros and cons, decided it was his best course of action.

So with that fact in mind, I don’t absolve him of anything. Ultimately, this is his choice and his alone. And like all those who went to trial after WWII for their efforts to profit off of institutional slavery known as the concentration camps, I feel Barack should probably take his place along side them as well as along side people like Prescott Bush and George Herbert Walker.

There is sex-slavery and trafficking right here in North America. Maybe we should stop trading with ourselves. :???:
