I live in AZ and I’ve witnessed people using their food dept cards. What a load of crap!
I have an EBT card and my benefits arrived on time, although I haven’t attempted to use it this month yet. Based on what I’ve read, it’s only happening for some people. Another possibility is that they may have moved the date forward that some people receive their benefits. This happened to me a few months ago; normally I would receive my benefits on the first of the month, but I received a letter stating that going forward I would receive them on the ninth instead. Perhaps this happened to some of the people that are having trouble, and they didn’t get the memo.
How about THIS– Get a job, quit boozing, gettin’ high, drug dealing, gang banging, illegitimate baby making, phony disability claiming, and being a parasite on the taxpayers and get out there and justify your sorry existence. Thank Lyndon Johnson who when he signed the Great Society Program (Welfare) into law, turned to his staff and said “We’ll have these ni77ers voting Democrat for decades.” HE WAS RIGHT !!
Not everyone receiving food stamps fits the description you listed above—in fact, most don’t. Many DO work, but because they aren’t paid a living wage or the company they work for won’t give them enough hours they end up on food stamps out of necessity. In many other cases there are no jobs to be found in some areas of the country in this cesspool economy. Hopefully you’re not judged nearly as harsh should you ever end up needing assistance.
Besides, a$$-hats like you gripe and gripe about welfare for the impoverished, but rarely a peep when it comes to corporate welfare, tax-breaks for the wealthy, or the massive amounts of money going toward the military budget.
You sound like a whiner to me. I got divorced and custody of my son in 2004 when he was 14, I also have my own business since 99. I got him through middle and high school andiIn 2008 he started college. I have pulled my home out of foreclosure 5+ times, got him through college, kept my business going, had my power, water and garbage service cut off and have managed to get him through school, downgraded a lot of things and never not once took a dime from the Govt. My daughter is supposed to get food stamps, and from what I know she only got them for like 2 months, which the second month was a reduced amount. I have to catch up with her
on what’s currently going on.
Also, after I lost my job some years ago, we had to utilized them. It is humiliating, after supporting my family for more than 25 years, plus having to deal with people that seem to think everyone on them is ripping off taxpayers. Some probably are, which is sad because people shouldn’t have to worry where their next meal is coming from. I was a homless teenager for awhile, so I tend to understand desparation and poverty very well.
If anyone wants to be mad about ‘welfare’, the corporate welfare is much, much worse.

There is a VERY BAD definition of entitlements as regards SOCIAL SECURITY and MEDICARE.
Social Security and Medicare are social programs based on MONEY LENT to the Government by employees through monthly DEDUCTIONS from their wages. The Government OWES this money to the retired people. Only WELFARE, FOOD STAMPS are entitlements. Only bloggers embedded with the government will mislead the public in calling Social Security and Medicare as entitlements. These are lies meant to imply that the Government do not owe retirees the retirement benefits already shortened by the Government using actuarial fraudulent calculations.
So cut the crap with Social Security and Medicare entitlements, they are retirement benefits OWED to these people from the money lent to the Government during DECADES of work and NOT ENTITLEMENTS.

my wife just last week applied for Social Security and their were people in their Crying, because they were DENIED what they contributed over their life of working for PLUS paid by the EMPLOYER
my wife was given 200.00 less a Month, they said she could take them too court, knowing it takes 2 years or more too go too court or take what they give, 200.00 a Month LESS

Okay.. I am from Pa and have been to both the grocery store and Walmart over the last few days. I specifically asked about this issue because I read about it days ago. The women in both places ringing us up told us there have been no problems that they had heard of.
I don’t know where this news is coming from, but this is the third place I have read about these claims and they are either right out lies, or it sure isn’t happening here.
These low lifes who have ETB cards should all get a job like becoming traffic wardens and other little Hilers that work as brown coats for the state to enforce more dreamed up law on the general public.
I mean if you give them $100 then $70 comes back in taxes of one sort or another anyway and rents are so cheap these days because the government is insisting on building more homes that we can all afford to buy one and still have spare change from a million.
The game is getting to the stage where only the greedy and i-dots still want to play with all thanks to the bankers and politicians that are on the take.
