Corrupting the Conversation: Challenging the Official Truth of ISIS™ (What Even Donald Trump Wont Tell You)

This morning I am watching and reading the corporate talking heads rage against Donald Trump’s comments about President Obama and Hillary Clinton being the “founders” of ISIS™.  They all say he has “corrupted the conversation” by straying outside the lines of acceptable discourse when it comes to the newest enemy of the state.

On Morning Joe, Scarborough even offered up some acceptable talking points in terms of what folks are allowed too say about the origins of ISIS™ and they were:

1. Perhaps we shouldn’t have disbanded the Iraqi army after the invasion liberation
2. Obama shouldn’t have pulled troops out of Iraq when the Iraqi leadership (Maliki) demanded we adhered to the agreement and our “national interests” demanded we stayed
3. Obama should have bombed the elected government and civilian infrastructure in Syria sooner

This is the acceptable version of what the civil discourse in the country SHOULD be about the rise of what we call ISIS™ according to people paid to establish such perimeters. And they are livid when it comes to condemning a popular public figure when he dares to wander outside those boundaries, the boundaries which, as you can see, still serve our “national interests”. This is what you are ALLOWED to discuss on the news, at the office, at the bar… this is the official truth of ISIS™.  It is not the truth but it is the official truth.

As many of you know, the official version of the truth is often quite different from reality. And often times, the further these things are from each other, the more passionately the guardians of the official truth respond when it is challenged.

What they are afraid of is having folks curiously research ISIS™ after Mr. Trump’s continued claim because they are concerned, and rightly so, that curious people might just figure out our new mortal enemy isn’t exactly what they’ve been told it is by these same over-paid talking head influence-peddlers.

First of all, ISIS™ in Iraq is not ISIS™. Its a Foreign Internal Defense campaign

The General Military Council for Iraqi Revolutionaries (GMCIR) was (is) a large collective of groups in Iraq who survived the U.S. occupation and when it effectively ended, they decided to rise up against our corrupt puppet Maliki and retake their country. Many of them were former generals and soldiers from the disbanded Iraqi Army who avoided being rounded up by U.S./Iraqi death squads which roamed the country from 2005-2008.

In early 2014, al-Maliki was ruling over Iraq with an iron fist. His death squads had been rounding up political dissidents and doing away with them for months and he was even starting to get some bad press here in the states regarding his brutal treatment of protesters and political opposition members. 2014 was a presidential election year in Iraq. al-Maliki called his targets “terrorists” but the truth of what and who they really were is there to find if you are so inclined.

“Yesterday, the Guardian published an article detailing how the US turned to the use of death squads in Iraq to quell the rise of Sunni militias.  The article provides convincing evidence that this was an intentional policy and was in fact a central tenet of David Petraeus’ often-praised counterinsurgency, or COIN, strategy. The key person in the Guardian’s reporting is James Steele, who was a veteran in organizing Central American death squads on behalf of the US during the Reagan years.”  Empty Wheel June 2014

Even the New York Times had to eventually give the death squads a little coverage in early 2015, though they sugar coated it a bit showing them in a photo as dancing, smiling, playful mass murders of civilians in Iraq who dare oppose our puppet regime.

Fears of retaliation by the militias in Diyala grew last month after residents of the Sunni-majority village of Barwanah accused Shiite militiamen of executing 72 people. Mr. Ameri and other Badr officials have denied that their fighters were responsible, even as they have promised to clamp down on abuses. New York Times

In January of 2014, after enough protesters had been slaughtered and civilians disappeared by the al-Maliki regime’s death squads, a number of Sunni resistance groups got together under the banner of the GMCIR in order to organize an armed resistance to the brutality being waged against them.

At first, the GMCIR enjoyed a great deal of success fighting against al-Maliki’s forces. They took a number of cities in north-east Iraq and were steadily making their way to Baghdad over the next couple of months.

In early June of 2014, al Jazeera interview with Maj. General Mizher Al Qaissi, Official Spokesman for The General Military Council for Iraqi Revolutionaries. I reported on that interview in Sept. of that year in an effort to provide readers with a better understanding of what ISIS™ was and more importantly, what it was not.

During that interview Maj. Gen. al-Qaissi made it very clear the GMCIR had nothing to do with what was called “ISIL” at the time.

AJ: We will talk about this interference but how far is this cohesion between the Tribes with ISIL’s organization – Is there direct cohesion – is there coordination?

MQ: There are no connections nor is there coordination.   As I have previously said – the organization exists and it has some fighters and it has some areas in which it moves, but this revolution is that of Tribes and this is what we want to get to the whole world – that this Revolution is a new Iraqi Spring and that it is an armed Revolution to end repression and injustice.   It has no connection with any other agendas.   And it has no relationship to any terrorism or any other parties.   It is a Revolution of pure Iraqi Tribes who rose against an oppressive government.

You see, “ISIL” and ISIS™, though used as descriptions for the same thing, are not the same. Or at least, they didn’t start off the same.

“ISIL” was a construct of al Qaeda and al Nusra (“al Qaeda in Syria”) and at first they were being used to attack the GMCIR and earlier opposition to al-Maliki in an effort to support our puppet regime in Iraq. But when that effort was clearly failing by June of 2014 and the GMCIR was on the doorstep of the Green Zone in Baghdad, something else was needed to stem the tide of the Iraqi revolution that was underway.

In late June of 2014, ISIS™ is announced by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. He claims their intention is to create a caliphate in Iraq and two months later they start making all sorts of fake beheading videos and publishing them world-wide.

The first of the fake beheading videos followed the Aug. 8th new American military intervention in Iraq. They were just what the doctor ordered in terms of providing President Obama the justification he needed to send troops and bombs to the country where he said we had no business sending troops and bombs back in 2008 when he was running for office.

You see, if Obama were to acknowledge the fact that he was going back into Iraq in order to keep control over the things Dick Cheney stole control of back in 2003, he would have been impeached by the left. But who could argue that he was wrong to go into Iraq to fight the guys lopping off heads and burning folks alive in clearly staged bullshit videos?

I want you to look at two photos for a minute.

And here is a picture of Lt. Muath al-Kaseasbeh being captured, supposedly by ISIS™

Notice any similarities? Look real hard now.

In Iraq, ISIS™ is a Foreign Internal Defense campaign of irregular warfare in support of a particular puppet regime which helps generate popular support for a foreign policy decision that no one would normally support were it not for this boogieman. What we are bombing in Iraq is one side of a civil war, an uprising that threatens to take away all of Hillary Clinton’s “business opportunities” that she gloated about in 2011.

Irregular Warfare as described in the 2008 Army Special Operations Forces report:

Irregulars, or irregular forces, are individuals or groups of individuals who are not members of a regular armed force, police, or other internal security force. They are usually nonstate-sponsored and unconstrained by sovereign nation legalities and boundaries. These forces may include, but are not limited to, specific paramilitary forces (like those pictured above), contractors, individuals, businesses , foreign political organizations, resistance or insurgent organizations, expatriates, transnational terrorism adversaries, disillusioned transnational terrorism members, black marketers, and other social or political “undesirables.”

The constituent activities of IW are:

• Insurgency
• COIN
• Terrorism
• CT
• FID (Foreign Internal Defense)
• Stability, security, transition, and reconstruction (SSTR) operations
• Strategic communication (SC)
• PSYOP
• Civil-military operations (CMO)
• Information operations (IO)
• Intelligence and counterintelligence (CI) activities
• Transnational criminal activities, including narc o-trafficking, illicit arms dealing, and illegal financial transactions that support or sustain IW
• Law enforcement activities focused on countering irregular adversaries.

That’s why ISIS™ always seems to be their own worst enemy; making fake beheading videos in which no one gets beheaded, producing said videos at just the right time to provide cover for U.S. or British legal actions against ISIS™, meeting with American politicians in order to get huge amounts of unconventional warfare cash, committing the Yasidi Genocide that turned out to be nothing at all, beheading babies that turned out to not have happened at all, recruiting toddlers and giving them guns bigger than they are and generally parading around in U.S. surplus military gear waving flags and looking about as menacing as your average Junior ROTC Float on Independence Day.” Scott Creighton

Look, we could go on and on about what ISIS™ is and what it is not.

We could talk about 120 British special forces members dressing up as ISIS™ and driving around in U.S. Special Forces Helix trucks.

We could talk about all the various support they get from us one way or the other.

• U.S. military small arms
• U.S. military Humvees
• U.S. military artillery
• U.S. citizens running their online social media campaigns
• John McCain met with destabilization campaign terrorists in Syria

We could talk about all the British people who end up being exposed as the front men for ISIS™

We could talk about the fact that no one in the Obama administration thought about bombing all of those ISIS™ oil convoys of stolen Syrian crude that were making their way out of the country and into Iraqi Kurdistan for all those months before the Russians decided it might be a good idea to blow them up before they got there.

Look, we know that we have “moderates’ in Syria (read as “disillusioned transnational terrorism members“) fighting on our behalf against the legitimate government of the country. They are our “irregular warfare” proxy armies and we are getting pretty mad at Russia because they keep blowing them up as well. Is it really so hard to imagine that ISIS™ is simply another one of a slightly different sort?

It’s not hard to understand what ISIS™ is if you just take the official version of the history of ISIS™, the one they say you are allowed to talk about, just one step further (you don’t even have to remember all the stuff I just wrote about):

1. ISIS™ came from “ISIL” or still is “ISIL” according to President Obama
2. “ISIL” came from al Nusra
3. al Nusra is al Qaeda in Syria
4. al Nusra now says they are no longer affiliated with al Qaeda (and want US support in their fight against Assad in Syria)

That’s the official truth of ISIS™ which you are allowed to talk about. Here’s the next step. I’ll let Hillary Clinton explain it to you:

“We also have a history of kind of moving in and out of Pakistan. Let’s remember here, the people we are fighting today we funded 20 years ago and we did it because we were locked in this struggle with the Soviet Union, they invaded Afghanistan and we did not want to see them control central Asia and we went to work. And it was President Reagan in partnership with the Congress led by democrats who said you know what? Sounds like a pretty good idea. Let’s deal with the ISI and the Pakistani military. Let’s go recruit these Mujaheddin. That’s great let’s get some to come from Saudi Arabia and other places importing their Wahhabi brand of Islam so that we can go beat the Soviet Union. And guess what? They retreated. It cost billions of dollars and it led to the collapse of the Soviet Union. And there’s a very strong argument that it wasn’t a bad investment to end the Soviet Union. But let’s be careful what we sow because we will harvest.” Hillary Clinton

The truth is, we have done this for decades. It’s nothing new.

• In 1953 CIA operative Kermit Roosevelt ran Operation Ajax
• In 1954 the CIA set Operation PBSUCCESS
• In 1959 Operation Mongoose and the Cuban Project
• In 1981 Reagan’s first “Freedom Fighters”
• And of course… there’s Gladio

Yes, we created al Qaeda, al Nusra, “ISIL” and eventually, when it suited our needs… ISIS™

The final clue for those of you still on the fence about this is the fact that ISIS™ pops up everywhere President Obama wants to bomb for one reason or another. You see it worked so well in Iraq and Syria, why not expand it’s coverage to every other theater of operation the military industrial complex sees fit to bomb or invade.

• ISIS™ is in Libya
• ISIS™ is in Yemen
• ISIS™ is in Sinai
• ISIS™ is in Africa
• ISIS™ is in Afghanistan
• ISIS™ is in Syria
• ISIS™ is in Iraq

The ISIS™ brand of enemy is everywhere which is why President Peace Prize is asking for a new Authorization for the Use of Military Force to fight ISIS™ anywhere and everywhere on the planet… including right here in the United States.

When Donald Trump says Barack Obama is the “founder” of ISIS™, technically speaking, he is wrong. But he is only wrong in the same sense that George W. Bush was not really the “founder” of the Global War of Terrorism.

Yes, it happened on his watch and yes, certain elements of our military and political structure did “create” what is called ISIS™ but that doesn’t make him it’s “founder”

Truth be told, President Obama doesn’t study the military history of the deep state any more than he probably understands what irregular and unconventional warfare are. And he certainly doesn’t understand their applications or how to conduct them on the ground. But others do. They understand them all too well.

But if you use the word “founder” to imply a responsibility that any president must accept for decisions and activities taken under his watch, a much broader definition of the term yet one that is fairly reasonable under the circumstances, then yes, Barack Obama in that respect is the founder of ISIS™

A long time ago President Kennedy decided against a plan put forward by his Joint Chiefs of Staff called Operation Northwoods. He nipped it in the bud when it finally made it’s way to his desk for authorization. Had he chose to allow it to move forward, though he didn’t create it, he would have born the responsibility for it. He would have been it’s founder.

Kennedy made a different choice, one that President Peace Prize seems to have been to cowardly to make. Of course, we see what that got him.

Here I go again corrupting the conversation with a bunch of facts when it would be so much easier to simply quote Joe Scarborough’s little list up there and be done with it. But that is the history of what we call ISIS™ and it’s a history even The Donald wont share with you. It’s uncontroversial and undeniable.

I will leave you where I started, with a cartoon. It’s simple, too the point and it’s funny because it’s true.
