Get Rid of Your Omentum

Dr. Mehmet C. Oz says there’s an organ inside all of us that plays a key role in making us fat—the omentum. “This organ literally pumps chemicals into your body and it holds the secrets … to los[ing] weight.” The omentum is the fat organ connected to your stomach. Its only purpose is to catch and store fat. When the fat is stored in your stomach, your body has easy access to it. The fat then creates an inflammatory process that irritates your arteries and puts you at risk for blocked arteries.

There are primarily three requisites to losing weight and reducing your omentum (if you have one, that is). These requisites include: 

  • Diet
  • Exercise
  • Desire

In dieting, eat wholesome foods recommended by dietary specialists. Fruits and vegetables are great for your diet. Minimize sweets, fatty foods, carbohydrates, starches, oils, salt, high-cholesterol producing foods, and other such foods that tend to cause you to gain weight. Eat smaller meals more frequently, like five times a day. Eat meat sparingly. Forget about weight losing pills, surgery, and starvation diets. If you eat wholesome foods full of vitamins and minerals, you do not need to take artificial vitamin tablets and food supplements. Eat natural foods that do not contain any preservatives, insecticides, and other such chemicals. Eliminate smoking (if you are a smoker) and minimize alcoholic beverage and soft drink (soda, pop, etc.) intake. You are what you ingest. So, eat healthy and eat well–and you will be healthy and well.

Along with dieting, you must exercise to burn off calories. See a doctor before you start an exercise program. If you can afford it, get a good exercise coach or trainer. Swimming, bicycling, and walking are some of the better exercising to do. Participate in exercises and physical activities that you enjoy doing. You must burn off the calories you take in if you expect to maintain or reduce your weight. It is all a matter of physics. Whatever goes in the form of matter, if it does not come out in one form or another of matter and energy, stays in and increases your weight. You take on weight to your body by eating food; drinking fluids; breathing in air; taking in substances through injections, enemas, and intravenous treatments; putting on makeup; getting physically dirty; in-taking ejaculation; swallowing pills and other medicines; and ingesting substances through your skin. You cast off weight through bowel movement, urinating, surgery/operations, exhaling, perspiring, spitting, vomiting, burning off calories, cutting your hair, shaving, out-gassing, tearing, ejaculating, clipping your finger and toe nails, shedding skin, blowing your nose, removing earwax, coughing, sneezing, drooling, nose picking, and bathing. The net of what you take on and what you take off determines whether you are either gaining or losing weight. It is all a matter of physics.

You may start all of the dieting and exercising in the world. However, you will not sustain that regimen and lifestyle if you do not possess a strong and undying “desire” to diet, exercise, and lose weight. You can call “desire” other terms such as will power, positive mental attitude (PMA), stubbornness, determination, stick-to-itiveness, perseverance, never giving up or giving in, persistent, passionate, driven, consumed, dedicated, goal oriented, focused, or motivated. On “The Biggest Loser,” for example, they maintain for the contestants the best diet, exercises, medical assistance, coaching, and equipment in the world. However, what separates those who win from the “also-rans” is that undying desire to lose weight and to keep it off through proper dieting and exercise. “Desire” is what separates the winners from the losers.

So, to get rid of your omentum, you must do what the winners of “The Biggest Loser” do. Happy losing!
