Pete and I started the past week off bringing an exclusive interview  with the very controversial Adam Kokesh who was recently released from jail after being arrested during a “Smoke Down Prohibition Event in PHilly PA.  Adam Kokesh has been making national headlines with his plan to carry “Loaded” firearms into Washington DC as a way to protest the increasing push by Washington to ban “certain” firearms and ammo.  

Behind the scenes, Guerilla Media Network researchers were keeping a close watch on both mainstream and alternative media for reactions to his arrest.  The usual suspects came out with their normal propaganda and the alternative media wasn’t far behind.  The decision was made to have Adam on the show followed by one of his critics, Bobby Powell, who had been making some pretty damning accusation about Kokesh based on other alternative articles and photos he had been seeing out there on the net.  Bobby Powell is a respected man by Guerilla Media Network personell and we thought correctly that he would be the best person to articulate critical position on the other side.  The discussion was civil on both sides with both men concluding we are no closer to a solution to the problem that has become Washington DC than we were a year ago this time.  These two men may not see eye to eye but they do find common ground in knowing SOMETHING needs to be done and fast ….

Thank you for trying.  Even though I thought it was a reckless thing to do I could never damn you for having enough testosterone left in your body to think it and actually put the idea out there.  I was encouraged by the response of patriots everywhere who were willing to have their very lives in jeopardy by putting it all on the line to protest the deliberate erosion of our constitutional right to bear arms … Don’t be discouraged by the typical nay-sayers who look for the worse in everyone … instead be encouraged that there are those who will always have your six. 

From Susannah to Bobby Powell:  

Thank you for being a good christian man Bobby who’s faith in the system to work through miracles of God should never be forgotten as a possible remedy.  

 Although your attitude is negative toward Adam Kokesh, I thought you handled yourself with the same dignity and grace you always do.  

I Was Just Thinking :

I took a picture of my Brother a couple of years ago at a halloween party, he was dressed up as Jesus.  He is 6 foot 5 and has long straight blonde hair to his waist.  The photo was very convincing, he was indeed very Jesus looking.  Do you think if I plastered that photo all over the internet, accompanied a very convincing article, about him being the second coming of Christ, there would be some people who would actually believed it?  Unfortunately, some would.  A photo may not always be what you think it is.  Indeed, a picture may paint a thousand words, but those words are not always and are seldom based in truth.  Individual interpretation and opinion are important but caution, tempered with your individual responsible research, is the key to keeping you as a reader, and or listener, honest when repeating something you have seen or heard on the web.  

KNOW-LIKE-TRUST

KNOW the person you’re getting information from by weighing the pro’s and con’s of their individual style of journalism.  Not all journalist are all things to all people.  Not all journalists are 100% correct all the time either.  Some will occasionally make a mistake and admit it but still there are those who will hold on to a mistake and never admit they made it … that’s when a mistake becomes a lie.  Others are just down right vindictive when they zero in on a target by putting out as much garbage as they can on a particular person. They have an audience of other journalists, for whatever reason, that are more than willing to spread the lie to create optimal damage against the target. 

If you LIKE a certain journalist, be willing to know they are not always right and form your own opinion based on your integrity as a listener or reader,  not just their integrity as a journalist.  Stay with them and support them by being a loyal listener, reader, and most importantly a contributor to their work.  If a journalist fails to make you the listener or reader  the most important reason for their work,  then their works are dead.  Never fall into the “he said she said” trap … If you don’t fancy one person’s work,  there are multitudes of journalist out there to choose from …  Be careful about following the opinion of someone who has only critical things to say about another journalist … there may very well be an underlying motive for such attacks that are being generated by personal vendettas.  This is not responsible journalism but can be amusing to read. Read it, but be cautious when repeating it as truth.  Like I said journalist are not always perfect.  Some really bad journalist have some wonderful truth from time to time … If a journalist is critical of another … you do the research and decide on your own if what they say is truth.  There should always be proof in the article not just a bunch of words to make you think the worst.

TRUST that you are are smart enough to know the difference between good journalism and journalism works.  Never let a journalist tell you that they are smarter than you.
