The Church and the Birth of Amerika

Some people consider America to be like Rome in its final days.  We are seeing the collapse of our economy and the erosion of all civil liberties and what are supposed to be unalienable rights.  Yet today every right that has been given to us by God Himself has been denied to the American people and repackaged only to be given back to us as rights coming from the government.  With this they give us fees, to exercise rights that our forefathers exercised without any restriction or permission from the government.  If we do not pay the fees and exercise our rights as still coming from God and not the state, we are fined.  If we still will not give up the antiquated ideas found in the constitution we will be imprisoned and our land taken away.

There are many good blogs that deal with the transition we are witnessing from America to Amerika, so I will not go into great detail here.  But I do want to ask, where is the church in all of this?

The church that is supposed to be the people of God have fallen asleep and not defended the most grounded government in God’s word the world has ever seen.  Instead we have been to busy preaching wealth based in the age of deceit where not even the banks are held accountable to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Practices).  Just as long as we can make a buck and say God did it, while we keep lining the pockets of those preachers of a false gospel.

In a recent Barna poll it was revealed that 8 out of 10 youths in Evangelical churches have no idea how their faith fits into everyday life.  No Idea!  The church is so asleep at the wheel that we can not even train our own children in the simple principles of faith by which to guide their lives.  How are we ever to defend against the ever faster growing movement in this nation to turn us into a godless communist state?  How are we ever going to train our children in the godly principles outlined in our founding documents, if we can not teach our own youth God’s word and how it applies to their everyday lives?

The church has not only failed this nation which we inherited, we have failed the spiritual generations after us.  We are leaving a lousy spiritual inheritance for our children and a nation based upon godless communist principles.

The irony is we think Jesus is coming back for us His bride, when we have failed our children and failed our nation.  We have no right!  We are not the blameless and spotless bride that Christ is coming for.  Who else is to blame for the state of our country and the state of the youth in the church?  Do you really think God is not going to hold us accountable?  We don’t know how to defend the ideas of our country, build the faith in our own children or even understand the responsibilities of being a believer.  But who will be appalled and care anyway?
