Hot Springs Akansas T-Shirt Saga: Sorry, I Am Allergic to Your Bullshit

My blog today is about Springs Wear T-Shirts 426 Central Ave, Hot Springs, AR 71901 (in the historic district near the city parking building).  I encourage you to shop there as an action of support for First Amendment Freedom Of Speech. Let me be clear. Some of the t-shirts could not be shown on TV and I likely would not wear them.  This said in an era when Blurred Lines is the top Billboard song they seemed down right polite in comparison.

Every nearby business claims they have no problem with Springs Wear t-shirts, but someone reported them to city hall as being lewd.  The City Attorney got involved and Mayor is planning an ordinance, but none of the other businesses complained. Really?  Camera crews arrived and grilled the new manager so in the end she put some of the t-shirts in a back room.  CNN covered the Hot Springs t-shirt scandal, plus state and national papers picked up the story.  How is that for a grand opening?

The so-called  lewd t-shirts are available at several locations in Hot Springs including Walmart and other vendors in the Historic District.  Could the problem be that the new owner is not a Hot Springs native?  Well neither am I!  Could it be because Springs Wear print their own t-shirts and provide customers with any custom combo they want?  I wonder.  Either way if you are visiting Hot Springs, Arkansas please support their business efforts and express your First Amendment Rights.
