KIDS’ FISHING DERBY AT MILE SQUARE REGIONAL PARK

(Fountain Valley, Calif.) – OC Parks, Orange County Supervisor Janet Nguyen, California Department of Fish and Wildlife and Angler Chronicles are pleased to present the annual Kids’ Fishing Derby at the North Lake at Mile Square Regional Park on Saturday, March 15 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Kids ages 15 and under fish for free at the Fishing Derby and compete to win multiple prizes for finalists and champions in different age groups. The lake will be stocked with more than 1000 pounds of trout just for the derby. Fishing clinics will be hosted throughout the event.

Registration will take place from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. with the Derby starting promptly at 9 a.m.A limited quantity of fishing rods will be available for loan. A complimentary barbecue lunch will be served to all who attend
