11 people jump out of window, claim to have seen the devil

Dateline Zero - A baby was killed and several other people were seriously injured when a family of 11 threw itself from a third-floor flat to flee a devil. This is according to French investigators, as they look into a strange incident in the village of La Verriere on the outskirts of Paris.

Firefighters were called to a social housing block on Saturday morning. They had received calls that 11 people jumped from a balcony. Among the injured, according to the Indian Express, they dicovered “an entirely naked man of African origin with a knife wound in his hand and two children, a baby and a two-year-old girl.”

The baby died later after receiving hospital treatment in Paris.

The assistant prosecutor from Versailles, Odile Faivre, told reporters that incident began in the early hours of the morning. Police said they had found no evidence of hallucinogenic drugs or unusual religious rituals.

A woman awoke to find her husband awake in the room, but something about his face apparently terrified her. He later explained that he was in the room to check on the crying baby. It’s not explained why he was naked; although if it was early, he may have only recently woken up. (That’s my own speculation.)

She jumped out of bed and ran out of the bedroom screaming, “it’s the devil! it’s the devil!” and the man ran after her into the other room where 11 others adults and children were watching television. They saw him and also believe that they were seeing the devil, and not the woman’s husband.

Everyone began screaming at what they perceived to be a demon, begging him to leave them alone. One woman grabbed a knife and stabbed the man through the hand; and then others pushed him out through the front door, ejecting him from the apartment.

He somehow forced his way back into the apartment, terrifying everyone inside. They rushed to the other side of the living room, followed by the man.
