How Can You Use Chaos Magick To Develop Psychic Abilities

Chaos Magick is a popular trend in occult studies these days, mainly because of the Internet. I have to admit – I’m not a big fan of Chaos Magick, even if I did studied it. I think it’s because that this system is too modern, stripping the occult of spirits, deities, it’s without soul. But, I admit that it can teach you thing or two about psychic abilities development.

How I Studied Chaos Magick

My Chaos Magick studies occurred because I’m interested in nearly every occult system, you know, it’s my hobby. I decided to learn as much as possible about this occult system, simple because I wanted to expand my knowledge. With time and effort, I understood that Chaos Magick focuses on psychology and “sterile” techniques. For me, the system without spirits, based on typical modern material instincts is a system worth of no interest by anyone.

But my studies had one benefit – I’ve understood the use of Sigils. And by reading Modern Magick by Donald M. Kraig, where I have found an interesting exercise that utilizes Sigils in learning magick, I came up with an idea of implementing the knowledge to psychic development.

What Are Sigils?

Sigils are symbols created by the occult practitioner in order to “program” some ideas and information within the subconscious mind. Quite popular for hundreds of years, in Chaos Magick they’re based on works of Austin Spare – the general theory is simple. Using specific technique, you can create a sigil, then implant it within your own subconscious during meditation, with help of visualization. For example, you can implant a type of behavior, or an idea, or a goal you want to achieve, and then your subconscious will help you in your endeavor.

How to Create and Use Sigils

The way you can use Sigils in your own psychic development is simple, all you have to do is to create a sigil that will represent you developing your psychic powers all the time. And you do this in two steps.

Step 1: Creating the Sigil

First, you need to create the sigil, so you can implant it later. This can be done in the following way:

• Write down a phrase I AM DEVELOPING PSYCHIC ABILITIES with capital letters
• Delete all doubled or tripled letters, so all that remains is: IAMDEVLOPNGSYCH
• Create the sigil, write it down on a piece of paper by merging all the letters together into one symbol, with letters inscribed into each other.

OK, I admit that the image is not the best I have ever one . But you get the point how to merge all the letters together. Now, your sigil is done.

Step 2: Implanting the Sigil

Now you need to implant. Start meditating, and enter trance state. Clear your mind and when you are ready, focus on the symbol. Keep in mind what it means and what you want it to do (help your psychic development), keep focusing for about 5 minutes. Then open your eyes, and burn the piece of paper with the sigil – use candle flame. And stop thinking about the sigil at all – you’re done.

The Sigil will start working

Long story short, the sigil will start to work as you want it to work, and you don’t have to think about it any more. Your subconscious have recorded what you want to achieve, and it will work towards helping you in your psychic development.

Using sigils and modern magick like this, is yet another example that there are many ways to find new tips and techniques for psychic development, even by reading modern occult publications. Read, explore and learn, as there are many paths that leads to becoming psychic.
