Bigfoot Allegedly Captured in Russia [update: already a confirmed hoax]

Russia’s Minister of Labour and Social Development, Bagaudin Marshani, is reporting the capture a Bigfoot-like creature.

According to the reports coming from Russia, a hunter spotted the creature as it dragged a sheep into the woods. Border guards captured the animal, and it is currently being held at a zoo.

It’s being described as two-meters in height or more — so at least six feet, six inches. It’s also said to be female, dark in color, and looks a bit like a gorilla with small hands. The Minister says it’s “stands upright and produces incomprehensible sounds. It feeds on plant and animal food.”

UPDATE:

Minister Marshani is in the process of correcting the media. He is saying that his words have been entirely misinterpreted in the news reports.

This was a bit of holiday fun for families visiting the zoo over the holidays, and the reporters apparently didn’t catch all the smiling and winking while being told about the captured “Yeti.”

Maybe next time, the reporters also need a good ol’ fashioned elbow-to-the-ribs.
