Iceland Worm Monster Caught On Camera [Video]

The Iceland Worm Monster (also called the Lagarfljót Worm, or Lagarfljótsormurinn) has possibly been caught on camera.

From Dateline Zero

Lagarfljót can be said to be Iceland’s version of the Scottish Loch Ness. The Worm Monster has been the subject of sightings as far back as 1345.

Obviously described as a worm-like creature, witnesses say it is long and massive. Sometimes the Worm Monster is described as having the length of a football field. It can leave the water to wander along the shore, so be wary if you decide to walk along that lake.

The Reykjavík Grapevine relates one story of a sighting in 1963, when Sigurður Blöndal, head of the National Forrest Service, “witnessed a long streak that moved along the water, rising and falling above the water level.”

Check out this video. Could Hjörtur Kjerúlf’s sighting be similar to what Sigurður Blöndal saw? If so, perhaps there be monsters in the lake…

I hate being skeptical because I believe these things are real (even if not exactly what we think), but this one is a little sketchy. The water sputtering by the head seems almost like a small propeller driving a model of some kind.

i had to finish my profile just to comment finally. Where in this video does it show locomotion that is derived from anywhere on the body? clearly this is being dragged by the head as nothing is creating positive force from the body. the positions of the creatures body in the water is a direct result of the water flow, not from locomotion.

Handy to have two people with cameras filming from 2 different angles, and yet not one really good image. that’s a shame… good job at hiding the tow rope though.

Looks like a snake or a snake model to me…in this video i didn’t see any reference to judge the size by….surely if it was the length of a football field the body would be like 20 feet wide

      fake.

It’s small chunks of ice built up on the edge of a large sheet of ice, which itself is floating on water and so moving about with the current. This is apparent in the second-half of the video.

It looks more slightly frozen motor oil that was thrown out in the water. May not be oil, but it definitely doesn’t look like it’s a living object. If you notice in the first 10 seconds of the video there are several smaller dark objects to the right of it that appear to be the same tone. Also, if you pay attention closely, it appears the ice is making it appear to wiggle.

Some people sure have a lot of imagination!!!!
