You are probably wondering how we determine if an orb is of a paranormal nature. If we can determine that an orb has intelligent movement, we can deem that orb as a spiritual containment field. Most orbs are either light refractions, skin flakes, dust, lint, dew drops, etc. Yes, most orbs can be easily explained away. But, ever once in a while, we will get the very same orb in our photos. For an example, I kept taking a series of photos and in every photo, I would have this large orb, with an off-center nucleus appearing in my photos. This orb would move from left to right, right to left, up and down. It was not settling down like a dust orb. When I saw this unusual orb, I sat on a chair and in front of me was a TV monitor where I could watch myself. I asked this unusual orb to sit on my lap. The orb floated towards me and hovered over my lap for about 10 seconds. This indicated intelligent movement, I deemed this orb as a spiritual containment field.

Sometimes we capture Designer Orbs in our photos. You are probably sitting there wondering what Designer Orbs are. Designer Orbs are the orbs with the intricate type of designs inside them. When you enhance or enlarge a Designer Orb you can make out what appears as a face. In one case example I had, I took a picture of the client’s backyard and captured two Designer Orbs in the photos hovering in the air. When enhancing the photos, I could make out the faces of two dogs. I went back to the occupant and asked the occupant what was in her backyard, she told me she had orange trees back there. I said, that’s nice, but what else do you have in the backyard? She told me that two of her dogs are buried back there. I asked her to look at the photos, she immediately started crying and said…”those are my dogs!” She validated that the Designer Orbs were actual spiritual containment fields.

When we conduct an investigation, we produce the photographic and video evidence on the spot for the clients. We also produce the EVPs on the spot for the client. We do what we call ‘quick and dirty’ EVPs. We ask a simple question on our digital recorder, like: “Is there anyone here? What is your name?” We then pause, allowing the entity to respond. We play back the recording and on many occasions we will get results, we will get a response EVP that says something like: “Yes, I am here” or “My name is ——“ . Most paranormal investigators will leave their recorders on all night and spend all the next day analyzing their recordings. I never could understand that. Why would an entity wait two hours to finally tell you his name is Alfred, wouldn’t he or she respond to the question immediately? Special Note: Quick and Dirty Method of EVP capturing was invented by Shannon ‘Ms. McCabe’ McCabe, she patented the idea as the ‘McCabe Method’.

UPDATE ON THE RYDE HOTEL:

Hello Paul,

I just read your article on the Ryde. We actually just returned from the Delta and stayed at the Ryde Hotel for 3 days. At 5PM the desk clerk went home and we were all alone (so we thought…:) until morning. We stayed in room 312!

No one else was checked into the hotel the 3 days we were there. We ventured down stairs to the speakeasy. I was searching for the tunnel. Can you tell me where the tunnel opening was? I went behind the bar (it was dark and we could only find the lights by the stairs) and I thought I could see a trap door behind the bar. Where was the trap door? Where was the bordello? Was the bordello the old and small house in the back behind the hotel?

When I was down in the Speakeasy, I got chills the entire time I was down there the second time. When we were staying there at night and we were all alone in the hotel, I could always hear noises coming from downstairs as though someone was banging around down there, but when we were downstairs we heard nothing. It was only when we were on our floor, the 3rd floor. I absolutely love this sort of thing. I have lived in a few haunted homes, so I am very open to spirits.
