He also only gives little tidbits of his work unless you pay for it. It’s not for me to say he is full of BS, there are so many things about this Universe that we will never know and I try to keep an open mind. But there are times when you can spot something that doesn’t seem right, and I actually went a couple of days ago to Dr Turi’s website to check out what he had to say. There are some things here and there that sound interesting, but for the most part he puts the whole Universe and all our lives and souls into a narrow definition, one that only he has the correct interpretation of. That is exactly why I usually don’t like New Agers, in my experience with them, they deny everyone else’s opinions and beliefs if they are not exactly aligned with their own. Dr Turi takes it a step further, from what I could gather without being a paying member; he basically says that not only are all other veiw points wrong, but the only way to be right is to join his specific group. That’s pretty arrogant, in my opinion. There is nothing wrong with talking about your veiws and beliefs, but he reminds me of a woman I was friends with for a very short time recently. She called herself one of the ‘light workers’ and claimed she had a psychic connection to the source of the Universe’s energy, and that she knew all the secrets of the Universe and our lives. I tried to humor her for awhile, but it got to the point where her self-important arrogance was just too much, and her constant ‘looking down her nose’ at me was so offensive. When she told me she couldn’t be around me anymore because I am too dark and I spend too much time discussing problems in the world, I was glad to be rid of her. Dr Turi reminds me of her for some reason.

To be honest I think they would hide information that does not conform with what we are supposed to believe. They do it every day cleaning the news, hiding things. Its no wonder half the world believes all different things because you can never tell if what we are told is true. I also think that the scrolls have very little in common with today’s religion. The amount of change since the death of Jesus and his original idea of a faith is enormous. Then add a dollop of woman hate, write gospels after his death and then promote your own ideas.

Melissa, I completely agree with you. I have read about the gospel that Jesus actually wrote, I think found with the Dead Sea scrolls, and it is so different than what even very early Christianity was. It would be a massive upheaval for people to accept the real concepts Jesus spoke of, they are so firmly rooted in their narrow veiws (like Dr Turi and my former friend) that they have no room for accepting new evidence or modifying their veiws. I think the Jesus scroll even mentioned that Mary Magadeline was his wife and they had a child. Even the bible says he went from a teen to 33 years old, with nothing about his life in between. It was obviously scrubbed from history to protect the rigid structure of the religion; it makes a lot more sense that he got married and started a family by 33, especially in that day, than he just wandered around all those years. He was a flesh and blood man, a prophet for sure but not a virgin-begotten son of a monotheistic God. Perhaps if people today looked into what he ACTUALLY preached and not what his apostales turned his words into, we would see a lot more tolerance in this world. But we know that many people can’t handle having to re-wire their belief systems, they can’t handle a complete change in their thinking. That’s exactly why when a lot of the scrolls’ contents were released, they were quickly locked up, and I think they still have them locked in the Vatican today, with much of the scrolls’ contents still unreleased.
While we can find a lot of truths if we know where to look and are able to research them with a critical thinking mind, there is so much that is kept from us, from secrets about the world we live in, to politics and world events. I can only imagine the stuff we don’t know about. These days we have the internet, which even though it’s full of lies and disinfo, it also contains truth if you can find it. Before that, people who couldn’t go all over the world gathering information were limited to controlled media, or a lot of time spent researching at the library. But even with mass amounts of information at our fingertips, there are still so many people who refuse to accept that there are multiple valid belief systems and what really matters in the end is how you live your life, not what religion or belief you live it for.
I had what some would call a religious experience, and it caused me to completey rethink my entire belief system. I had been a Druid Pagan since I was 15, and had a very structured set of beliefs regarding dieties and rituals. When I was about 26 (I’m 35 now), I broke my spine and had to have 2 surgeries to fuse it back together. I went back to work a year later, and over the course of 2 years working, the hardware broke and 2 of my vertebre collapsed onto each other. I had just gotten insurance again through my husband’s new job, and was on a pre-existing condition clause when I found out I would need a 3rd fusion. I had to sit for a year and a half, nearly bedridden and on a ton of morphine. For the year before the 3rd surgery and the year after, I had what some would call a nervous breakdown, but I refer to as having an experience that, through extreme and long term pain, caused me to grasp some truth I had not seen before. I can’t put it into adequate words without nearly writing a book length post, but it shattered by rigid Druid dogma, and I know now that we all interpret the details differently, but we are all a part of the same source. When people ask me, i say I am a pagan in practice and a diest in belief; that’s about as close as I can come to describing it. In belief, I feel that what some God, some call science, and I call just the Universe, is an energy that is within every single molecule and yet is also a creation force. Science and God are the same thing. But when I need something tangible to draw upon, I use pagan (nature, sort of animistic based) practices.
I say all of this because that is exactly what I think Jesus was saying in his own writings, that were hidden in those scrolls. That we are all tapping into the same source, it is nameless and faceless and we cannot comprehend it’s actual nature because it is so much more than we are, yet we are made of and by it. Many people can’t deal with something as abstract as that, so they hold on to rigid, structured systems. That is of course their own right to do so, there’s nothing wrong with in and of itself, but the problem is when they use those systems to kill, enslave, or control others. Like our government and our media, organized religion has yet to function without becoming an all controlling system.

Although he puts it in inverted commas, he mentions three wise men. This is a bit of a giveaway, as the Bible does not specify the number of these gentlemen; just that they brought gold frankincense and myrrh.
The DSS were written by the Essenes, I believe, who were, according to Josephus, a strict but pious group of individuals who wrote about the Teacher of Righteousness. If they were writing about the Creator of the universe, then why not state His name? They knew it as well as we do. It’s a total lie. The Dead Sea Scrolls were written centuries before Jesus. They are identical copies of Old Testament books. They don’t contain the satanic lies that the author says they do.
Saw the exhibit containing some fragments of the scrolls in LA – late 80s. The fragments were from the book of Isaiah. The fragments are considered to be the oldest extant copy of Isaiah — older than the Septuagint. This may be why the DSS are kept secret — the older extant copies contradict the Anno Domini Masoretic text in use today. There’s your cover up
The Masoretic text was concocted in Jamnia ~120AD as a means to keep the judeo flock from becoming a part of the growing Christian flock. The rabbis had to contradict the claim that Christ fulfilled OT prophecy. If you have ever wondered why there appears to be contradictory statements between Old and New Testaments, it comes from scholars using the modern Masoretic text for the OT while using the Septuagint quotations used by the NT writers.

The Dead Sea Scrolls are the oldest copies of the Old Testament in existence. (extant = not destroyed or lost) The authorities over these scrolls are not allowing outside scholars to examine them.
My point — What reason is there to keep them from outside examination except that it would be discovered that the older text contradicts the new (Masoretic) text currently in use?
The book of Isaiah in particularly is loaded with Messianic prophecies. The other original books would also underscore how much cover up the Judaics have done of their original text.
