Grace Haunts the Imax Esquire Theater

Some of the activity of this theater is that doors will open and close, there is banging upstairs and downstairs. There was a time when the alarms were turned off, but they came on anyway. Some of the clients have experienced strange events too. Once a work crew came in and they heard the cries of a little girl. That was enough for them and they walked out. They felt too much emotional energy. The work crew never came back. Three employees saw a little girl apparition that is affectionately known as Grace. Wendy feels the little girl is attached to her.

Other history of the theater is that famous actors of the past have attended premieres. Nancy Bradley in her investigation described a man that was a victim to violence at this theater and that this man held a position of responsibility. The victim that she most likely is describing is Jim Pantagas. Jim was known to do jazz gigs at the theater. Unfortunately, one night Jim was shot down dead in front of the theater by robbers. This happened in 1995. Many people believe Jim has never left this theater.

Nancy Bradley also detected two children. The little boy, Nancy calls Jimmy Cooper and the little girl is of course known as Grace. Jimmy would ride his tricycle constantly and bump into walls, making loud noises. Nancy feels that the little boy was killed in the bathroom and still roams the theater riding his tricycle. Wendy thinks this accounts for the banging noises that are heard at times throughout the theater.

After this fascinating interview, I was headed over for my next interview. I heard a lot of things about the Tower Theater. Back in the 80s, I was told a full body apparition of a man was seen sitting in the theater watching a blank screen. An unidentified employee was pushed in the basement. If people complained about the theater, something bad would happen the next day. For example, when an employee said he hated the projection room, the projector stopped working. Theater goers claim there is a lot of residual haunting activity at this theater. I talked with Renae Pine – Manager and when I confronted her with my stories, she merely smiled on this warm sunny day. She looked at me with her big sparkling eyes and said: “Paul, as soon as I can get the go ahead, I will be contacting you.” So, yes I am looking forward to more of the ghostly stories of the Tower Theater and a full on investigation.
