We are in the town of Quintett – which is a part of Georgetown. There is so much to explore here. It’s as if you were going to Disneyland for the afternoon, there is no way you can see all of Disneyland in one afternoon. Staci rattles off about all of the places to explore that are known to have paranormal activity. Of course there is the haunted Georgetown Hotel. That was featured on My Ghost Story with HPI Investigators. This story on My Ghost Story – Biography Channel originated from the many stories that Staci Butler heard and reiterated it to HPI staff. So if you ever watch ‘Hotel Hell’ episode on the Georgetown Hotel, you now know where the story originated from – Staci Butler. Staci Butler’s home is haunted by a variety of shadow people. Shadow people are seen darting here and there on her property. Nearby are haunted mines, haunted by the 49er miners who lost their lives in those mines. There is a Indian burial ground that is a mere 10 minute walk away from Staci’s property. There is an old abandoned home that was once a brothel. If you like UFO sightings, then you might want to check out Bald Mountain. Many UFO reports happen at Bald Mountain, there is a watch tower on top of this mountain. There is a home on 12 Mile Road. This road is named 12 Mile Road, because it is exactly 12 miles from Georgetown. We did some exploring and walked down this road. Staci asked neighbors where the haunted places were and they directed us to the Indian Burial Ground. We attempted to get some EVPs at the Indian Burial Ground, with no luck. Then we went to a large brown wooden home, that is more a cabin than a house. It’s a 2 story cabin/house and for over 10 years residents have said that this home is haunted. We did an outside perimeters investigation and acquired 4 EVPs. Lisa captured a ‘yes’ EVP. Jon captured a ‘hmph’ EVP. I captured 2 EVPs in one recording. One voice sounds mechanical and it says ‘something is here’ and then when I asked what the entity’s name was and a male voice says ‘Burt’. We confirmed that this house does have some paranormal activity and we will attempt to one day get inside this house. There is now an old lady that lives in this house and when we did our investigation, she was not home at the time.

HPI Researcher Carrina Hanson discovered haunting information about the town of Bodie:

“Oh yeah, I also found some info on a few houses in Bodie that are
supposed to be haunted. As well as some of the sightings I told you about.

The John Cain House, A chubby Chinese woman has been seen and likes to mess with teenagers, and young children have seen her smiling at them. The Mendocini House, Children’s laughter has been heard from inside the house, Sometimes the smell of cooking food can be smelled coming from the house, or smelled upon walking in.

The Gregory House, An old woman in a rocking chair. Sometimes the chair rocks on it’s own. Near the mines there has been a white mule seen. Hopefully that will get you some ideas for while you are there. You better send me the story for that one! I want to know EVERYTHING.”

The Mendocini House is called home to several friendly ghosts. One is thought to Mrs. Mendocini who loved to cook her Italian food. Rangers report today that they often smell the delicious aroma of her cooking when they enter the house. Others have reported party-like sounds coming from the next room and children’s laughter of children. At the Dechambeau House, visitors have seen a woman peering from an upstairs window. At the Bodie Cemetery is “The Angel of Bodie,” a three-year old child that was said to have been accidentally killed when she was hit in the head by a miner’s pick. Her grave is mounted with a white marble angel and on one occasion a man visiting the cemetery with his little girl, noticed that she was giggling and seemingly playing with an unseen entity.
