Jersey Devil Sighted In NJ?

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

An unrecognizable animal was spotted walking on a wooden fence in New Jersey and the photo has made its way to Reddit.com where readers are speculating on exactly what the strange-looking animal could be.

The black-skinned animal with long toes, a long snout and extremely long tail is pictured on top of a fence, facing away from the camera.

The image was posted on Reddit and has over 600 comments on it but the website, known recently for their detective skills, seem stumped by the picture and have been unable to identify just what it is yet.  Being the fortean lover that I am, i hope it remains that way and we have a genuine mystery on our hands.  SCOOBY-DOO! WHERE ARE YOU!?  -Mort

Fits every description I’ve ever seen of the Jersey Devil. That is not a dog. That is not a hairless squirrel. What dogs and squirrels have you ever seen with a tail that long? How many dogs have seen walk across a fence like that? The description is accurate of eyewitness accounts. I wonder if it was an escaped animal from Montauk or something.

dude the first link i provided shows the front of the same animal…. quite obviously a squirrel. and you say this fits every description you’ve ever seen of the Jersey Devil? then shouldn’t it be the size of a kangaroo with horns, a forked tail, and bat wings? maybe i’ve just been hearing descriptions of a different jersey devil all these years. once more, for your viewing pleasure, the face of the beast!

I see your pic bro, but i don’t think that’s a squirrel. The tail seems rather long. I feel ya tho. We’ll just have to agree to disagree on this one

Actually it doesn’t fit the descriptions of the Jersey devil, the jersey devil was described as having the head of a goat, sometimes they said a horses head, leathery bat-like wings, horns, small arms with clawed hands, cloven hooves and a forked tail.

It is obviously a Sumatran rat monkey, species, Simian Raticus.(There is a great documentary on this creature called Dead Alive!) If you look at the fence, it is the common 4 inch width sold at the major outlets, which would make the creature 22 to 30 inches by comparative math.Stay classy N.J., and buy your children 22 handguns with explosive tipped bullets.

That picture is of a hairless squirrel that was posted some months back on the Facebook page of an Oklahoma Wildlife Association. It is being passed off here as legit. This is to news what the National Enquirer is to ‘reporting’.

    • GRENADE OCONN3R

It’s an undercover Russian soldier dressed up as a monkey squirrel……KILL IT!!!

Is it a the infamous Jersey Devil or is it an escaped GMO animal hybrid?

They have been doing it for a while with pigs, sheep, ect …. ever since Dolly! Pretty scary seeing the consequences of GMO foods…..

    • Fisherman

Get a life. It’s a HOAX. I saw the same animal in exactly the same position on rocks. Post valuable and true stuff, not stupid photos.

A bald squirrel carrying a large nut in it’s mouth. Look at the ear set and eyes. They have grasping fingers and long tails. Poor little guy must have gone bald from eating monsanto nuts.
