Hubz and I watched a movie last week called Nine Miles Down (Link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0812352/ ) which is of the exact same premise. The movie includes an audio where scientists did the same thing and heard sounds from hell.
… and then there’s this: A geological group who drilled a hole about 14.4 kilometers deep in the crust of the earth are saying that they heard human screams. Screams have been heard from the condemned souls from earth’s deepest hole. Terrified scientists are afraid they have let loose the evil powers of hell up to the earth’s surface. There’s been extensive research into the background of this tale and it’s just that… a tale. But a good scary one nevertheless that brings attention to the afterlife (if any) to the reader.
