1. Brad I see you and Sherry contributed the photos to the new book Legacy of the Sky People: The Extraterrestrial Origin of Adam and Eve; The Garden of Eden; Noah’s Ark and the Serpent Race. Could you tell us a bit about the photos first and how they tie in with the book?

BRAD: Most of the photos that we provided were taken in Peru by Sherry. We strongly believe that South America, particularly Peru and Chile, were centers of prehistoric civilizations that we are only recently discovering. The legends of Sky People and the Serpent Race are commonly repeated by the native peoples in Peru. One night a Shaman took us to a lake in the mountains where we watched bright balls of light entering and re-entering the water. Strangely enough, these “UFOS” responded to Sherry’s unspoken, then verbal, requests concerning their flight patterns.

2. “We have met the Martians and they are us,” suggests Brad Steiger from the description of Legacy of the Sky People. Could you tell us what you mean by this?

BRAD: In 1982, the highly respected Dr. Francis Crick, co-discoverer of DNA, boldly suggested that the seeds of life on Earth may well have been sent here in a rocket launched from some faraway planet by “creatures like ourselves.” Science writer David Rorvik explored such a provoca­tive theory, and other related subjects, in an interview with Dr. Crick that appeared in the March 1982 issue of Omni magazine. Dr. Crick told of a meeting in Soviet Armenia in 1971 where scientists discussed the idea that the uniformity of the genetic code made it appear as if life went through a “rather narrow bottleneck.”

Recently, scientists have theorized that when Earth comes to its final days, the only life left on the planet would be in the form of microbes We know that microbes in various space “rocks” fall upon our planet and others regularly.

When I say that we have met the Martians and they are us, I am using colorful language to suggest that we may have been seeded in the process of panspermia, as Dr. Crick theorizes. We are all star seed. At the same time, though, I am open to the theory that our species was literally planted and shaped by extraterrestrial intelligence–and we are , indeed, the descendants of “Martians,” that is, an alien life form from elsewhere.

3. Brad what is your personal perspective on the Ancient Astronaut theme and do you personally subscribe to it?

BRAD: As I understand the Ancient Astronaut theme it is posited that extrater­restrial superscientists visited our planet in its prehistory and set about manipulating the DNA of the indigenous pri­mate beings. Their goal was to “jump start” the human species and to accelerate the process of civilization and technological progress on Earth. Once these extraterrestrial scientists had isolated the DNA fragment that they were seeking, they were able to clone that fragment and produce many identical copies. It was at that time that they began to shape the forerunners of the human species.

A seemingly more moderate thesis has the extraterrestrial “gods” and “Sky People” arriving at a time in ancient times and teaching the more receptive and intelligent of our ancestors how to build the rudiments of civilization and even magnificent cities, pyramids, and other remarkable structures.

I am very open to certain elements of the Ancient Astronaut theme, but I also feel quite strongly about the thesis that I present in my Worlds Before Our Own, (Putnam, 1978) that we have had plenty of time for more than one evolution on this planet and that an advanced terrestrial culture thriving in a world before our own on Earth could have built all those wonders. Of course, I also accept that an earlier evolution of a intelligent humanlike species could have been tutored by teachers from the stars.

4. Long ago in my wilder days I had an experience where I saw beings I would call the Serpentines or what some would call Reptilians. I know the book mentions a Serpent race. I know Shamanism vision quests under the influence of certain substances have induced visions of these beings. My experience with them was not negative at all but pleasant. I am curious to your thoughts on this Serpent race?

BRAD: As Sherry and I suggested in Real Aliens, Space Beings, and Creatures from Other Worlds (Visible Ink Press, 2011) perhaps the reason why the most frequently reported UFOnauts resemble reptilian humanoids is that this is ex­actly what they are: highly evolved members of a serpen­tine species.

In numerous UFO alien encounters and in other sightings of reptilian beings, the Visitors are described as standing about four and a half to five feet tall and being dressed in one-piece, tight-fitting jumpsuits. Their skin is most often characterized as hairless and gray or grayish green in color. Their faces are dominated by extremely large eyes, very often with snakelike, slit pupils. They are said to have no discernible lips, just “straight lines” for mouths. They seldom are described as having noses, just little stubs if anything at all. Most often the witnesses see only nostrils nearly flush against the beings’ smooth, hairless faces.

I have two possible theories regarding the interaction of Reptilians and Earthlings:

1. Positing that there has been enough time on Earth for two evolutions, terrestrial amphibians or reptilians evolved into a species that eventually developed a culture that ran its course–­or was destroyed in an Atlantis-type catastrophe just after it began to explore extraterrestrial frontiers. Today’s “extraterrestrials,“ then, may be the descendants of the survivors of that terrestrial amphibian/reptilian culture re­turning from their space colony on some other world to monitor the present dominant species on the home planet.

2. The Visitors reported by contactees, abductees, and other witnesses may, in fact, be a highly advanced amphibian or reptilian culture from an extraterrestrial world, who evolved into the dominant species on their planet millions of years ago and who have interacted in Earth’s evolution as explorers, observers, caretakers, and genetic engineers.

As early as 250 million years ago, these reptilian Star Gods visited our planet and began efforts to ac­celerate the evolution of certain terrestrial amphibi­ans and reptiles in an attempt to replicate their own culture on Earth. When these experiments in genetic engineering failed, they made a decision to focus upon evolving mammals.

Whether the ex­traterrestrial superscientists were reptilian, mammalian, or beings beyond our present awareness, when they came to this green oasis in space they viewed it as a great biological laboratory. And they must also have computed that it would take the slow process of evolution a hundred mil­lion years to alter a species or to develop a new one.

For whatever reason, they made a decision to accelerate the normal process of evolution and to fashion a rational creature before its time.

5. I also many moons ago in my youth saw beings who were made of pure light who seemed to be the luminous ones or what some call angels. I thought there were us without our skin or they were our souls pretty much. But was never completely sure. I wrote a poem called People from the sky after seeing them. What can you share with us about the appearance and story of the Sky People?

BRAD: It seems clear that the ancient Israelites and other primitive cultures thought the Sky People were god-beings or angels, possessed of super­natural powers. Many Ancient Astronaut researchers believe that these particular “sons of God” came from another world­ not a heaven, but an actual physical place. And that their “coming in unto” the daughters of men to produce the “giants in the Earth” quite likely refers to genetic manipulation, rather than actual sexual intercourse.

6. What can you share with us about the creation of Adam and Eve and these beings and also do you feel there is a new race of beings being created today during these perilous times?

BRAD: Many serious-minded researchers have suggested that if we were to read the creation story in Genesis with our current awareness of genetic engineering, the interac­tion between the Sons of God and the fair daughters of men assumes a rather different interpretation.

“….when men began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw the daughters of men were fair; so they took them wives of all whom they chose … There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daugh­ters of men, and they bore children to them, and they be­came giants who in the olden days were men of renown. [Genesis 6:1-4]”

If those allegedly smitten sons of God were actually extraterres­trial scientists conducting experiments on female mem­bers of the developing strain of Homo sapiens, rather than decadent heavenly beings sinning with Earth’s daughters, they might well have been carrying out the directive to provide nascent humankind with a genetic boost.

Many of today’s UFO contactees and abductees have said that hybrid humans and aliens are being produced and nurtured because the great majority of the human species were not progressing as hoped. Per­haps many of the creatures created by the Great Experiment remain too close to the animal level and an infusion of alien genes has been order by the Sky People to bring more humans to the spiritual level necessary for the New World that is being born..

7. In Legacy of the Sky People it speaks about Noah’s Ark heavily and the story of the demise of humanity because of the Nephilim and humanity’s selfishness. I feel we are living in similar times when it comes to the greed of humanity leading us to our dooms. What are your thoughts on this?

BRAD: For those Ancient Astronaut researchers who espouse the theory that Earth’s humans may well be considered “property” by an extraterrestrial species, the Great Flood becomes a symbol of the time when certain of the Sky People coldly and dispas­sionately made the decision to eliminate great numbers of those primitive offshoots of humans and to preserve only the strain that would lead to Homo sapiens, modern man.

The Book of Enoch suggests that Noah himself was a very unusual individual, far different in appearance from his brothers, sisters, and friends, describing him as a per­son with “a body white as snow, hair white as wool, and eyes that are like the rays of the sun.” Passages in the Dead Sea Scrolls reveal that Noah’s mother, Bat-Enosh, was suspected of infidelity when the strange baby was born.

In the Book of Enoch, however, Bat-Enosh tells her husband, Lamech, that the child is truly his son. “He is not the child of any stranger, nor of the watchers, nor of the sons of heaven,” she insists. The Book of Enoch claimed that the “watchers’” were two hundred fallen angels. Other apocryphal sources state that they were the Gregoroi, other visitors from the heavens.

Many researchers do feel that humankind may have to face another Great Cleansing, such as the Great Flood of world mythology. Again, numerous UFO contactees and abductees feel that it is their mission to alert their fellow humans that some kind of apocalypse will soon be visited upon Earth.

8. Just because I always wanted to ask you this what are your thoughts on Bigfoot as to what they are exactly? Is there a Nephilim UFO connection and do you feel they are multidimensional? I know there are stories tying them in with King Og from the bible and some other theories but wanted to know your thoughts on the Sasquatch.

BRAD: I don’t believe that there is an association with the Nephilim, but I have often written of a possible UFO connection. I also believe that the Bigfoot phenomenon is both physical and paraphysical. It is a reflexive phenomenon with some such creatures actually existing in some moment in Time and Space, but with the majority of the ghost-like figures entering and leaving our world through multidimensional doorways.

9. Brad what books do you have coming out soon or that recently come out that you would like to tell us about and any links you would like to share?

BRAD: Sherry and I are working as we speak on Real Encounters, Different Dimensions and Otherworldly Beings. Our Four-Legged Miracles: Heartwarming Tales of Lost Dogs’ Journeys Home will be released February 5, 2013.
