The Nibiru cataclysm is a supposed disastrous encounter between the Earth and a large planetary object (either a collision or a near-miss) which certain groups believe will take place in the early 21st century. Believers in this doomsday event usually refer to this object as Planet X or Nibiru. The idea that a planet-sized object will collide with or pass by Earth in the near future is not supported by any scientific evidence and has been rejected aspseudoscience by astronomers and planetary scientists.
Many believers in the imminent approach of Planet X/Nibiru accuse NASA of deliberately covering up visual evidence of its existence. One such accusation involves the IRAS infrared space observatory, launched in 1983. The satellite briefly made headlines due to an “unknown object” that was at first described as “possibly as large as the giant planet Jupiter and possibly so close to Earth that it would be part of this Solar System”. This newspaper article has been cited by proponents of the Nibiru cataclysm, beginning with Lieder herself, as evidence for the existence of Nibiru. However, further analysis revealed that of several initially unidentified objects, nine were distant galaxies and the tenth was “intergalactic cirrus“; none were found to be Solar System bodies.

A comet almost 2x the size of Jupiter (the largest planet in our solar system) recently passed through our solar system but was never reported on main stream media because the scientists and astrologists “thought we were toast”. It is so massive, and literally a sun, that at first, before we see it it’s gravity pulls much of the suns heat away from the earth causing the coldest spring in record, down to 70 below for over seven weeks (say the mystics) and then we begin, as it get’s closer to feel its heat and we have the reverse, the warmest summer ever on record – as it continues on its path and away from the earth. But as the head moves millions of miles away it has a tail millions of miles long that a piece breaks off when the earths gravity has a greater pull on the tip of the tail than the head, and this piece collides with our atmosphere to cause a massive explosion over one half of the earth and leaves a cloud so dark that it stays dark night for three days and nights.
