Vatican to examine 'glowing statue' of Virgin Mary in Medjugorje
The Croatian Times reports that a statue of the Blessed Mother allegedly began spreading light throughout the house of Vicka Ivankovic, one of six seers that live in the pilgrimage spot of Medjugorje, located in western Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Now the statue has been moved into the parish priest’s house waiting for experts from the Vatican to come and examine the statue. The Vatican is interested to verify whether this was a supernatural occurrence, or mischief from someone in the community.
According to Medjugorje Today, the seer’s family requested Vatican intervention, and welcome the investigation.
This occurrence comes at a time when the Medjugorje Report, which was compiled during Pope Benedict XVI’s papacy, seems to have slipped into limbo since Pope Francis’ election. Is Our Lady trying to get our attention?
