The second year in a row we’ve seen the same red light in the sky, “dripping” light. Then, it vanishes! We saw it last year, so we specifically went out looking for it this year. 9pm 12/24 above the North End. We’ll be there next year as well. This one was dropping red balls of light, unfortunately you can’t really even see it until I zoomed in and then it vanishes. Now I know how the people who try to capture Big Foot on video feel. jenni dear, whats the doctor got you on? Looks like classic Chinese lantern to me. In the vid they say dropping, but seems to freeze frame on my PC. Some lanterns use waxed rope as fuel source, this occasionaly drips fireballs. Its flickering strongly suggests lantern. Sorry sweetheart.
We used to make these with dry cleaning bags, balsa wood and a candle when we were kids. When the bag eventually catches fire and melts, the “UFO” disappears. It’s an old gag started in the 50′s.
