It was time to look into the possibility that people are attracted to such events like the Renaissance Fayre in Fair Oaks, California because they feel they were reincarnated from this period of time.  I met up with Shannon ‘Lady En Du Tromp’ McCabe, Tim ‘Lourde Hawkins’, Natalee, Jennifer ‘Jezebel’ Cicero at the Fair Oaks Tudor Fayre.  I paid my $12.00 entrance fee and away I went, back in time…The 12 bucks was well worth it, because on this day June 28, 2008, Saturday, I would meet many fun people with lots of stories to tell… 

There were many people wearing lively costumes reflecting upon the Renaissance period.  I saw Kings and Queens in purple attire, knights in shining armor, a couple dressed as barbarians and even a Ninja.  Ninjas were around medieval Japan, so I guess that can be reflected upon the Renaissance period.  There were even two people walking around with boa constrictors.  I must tell you, there was plenty to see. 
  
I scouted out my first person to interview.  Her name is Barbara Guzzetta.   

Barbara Guzzetta says that perhaps she has been reincarnated.  She loves this time period.  She has always felt attracted to the Renaissance faires.  She says she does feel like she is from this period of time. 

As I finished up my first interview with Barbara, I stopped at The Dirty Scots Tavern, a place where Jezebel is a guild member.  I sampled the cherry ale and sweet apple cider while Shannon or Lady En Du Tromp sampled the Mocha Java. The ales and ciders were excellent and a well liked attraction by all. A huge HPI thank you to Captain Jack for imbibing us.

Now it was time to locate another person to interview.  I came across Monika Evans aka Mona McSewalot.   

Monika Evans aka Mona McSewalot tells me that she feels comfortable at these fairs.  She definitely does feel like she is from this time period.  At a young age, she was interested in sewing, crafting and crochet.  It was almost like it was somehow a part of her.  She also had reoccurring dreams of the Renaissance period, almost like she has traveled back into time with her mind.   
I stopped at Hearts Delight, where you can purchase Renaissance type of clothing; such as, bodices, corsets, doublets, and breeches. 

I talked with an employee of Hearts Delight, her name is Reiner Brooke Williams aka Lady Angel and she tells me that she definitely feels like she was reincarnated 21 times and the Renaissance period is just one of many.  During the Renaissance period, she claims she was a peasant outside of London and she cleaned homes for a living.  She also feels very associated with water and somehow feels she had a job that was associated with working with water.  She also feels that with her past lives she dealt with animals and babies.  For more information on Hearts Delight Clothiers please visit: www.HeartsDelightClothiers.com

As I continued to walk around the faire with Shannon McCabe and Lourde Hawkins, we came across skeletal faces that represent the Dance Macabre.  We saw people ‘gigging’ in the park.  That means to get into your character and greet the guests.  We watched games like, battling tops, that you can play with 100 pence.   

My next interview was with Lady MacBeth.  She says that she was reincarnated from the Renaissance time period.  She claims she can distinctly remember seeing Marie Antoinette beheaded.  During the French Revolution of 1793, she was a rebel and after the death of Marie Antoinette, she was captured and beheaded by guillotine in the town square.  She tells me that many times at night, she can feel pain in her neck from when the guillotine lopped off her head.   

Lady MacBeth had quite a story and perhaps what she says is true.  Past regressive hypnosis would really help on stories like this.  As I watched the fire dancers performing for their audience, I could hear Johnny Cash sing ‘Ring of Fire’ in my head.  This was truly a festive atmosphere.  Maybe the people that do attend this event do feel comfortable because they are experiencing deja vu; that they were once here before. 
Lady Macbeth’s Soliloque: Act 1 Scene V, Macbeth- ‘They met me in the day of success: and I have learned by the perfectest report, they have more in them than mortal knowledge. When I burned in desire   to question them further, they made themselves air, 5 into which they vanished. Whiles I stood rapt in   the wonder of it, came missives from the king, who all-hailed me ‘Thane of Cawdor;’ by which title,   before, these weird sisters saluted me, and referred   me to the coming on of time, with ‘Hail, king that 10 shalt be!’ This have I thought good to deliver   thee, my dearest partner of greatness, that thou  might’s not lose the dues of rejoicing, by being   ignorant of what greatness is promised thee. Lay it  to thy heart, and farewell.’

Good bye to the many people I met, such as Lady Marmalade, The Jouster, Feisty Michael and John the Inquisitor who all claim to have been reincarnated from this time period, but do not wish to see their real names in print.   

Will we ever find the answers to reincarnation?  I think we will someday and what we will learn will surprise us.  We will learn that souls are recycled over and over again.  Life is eternity.
