Initial DNA analysis of Paracas elongated skull released

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Here’s some interesting news on the Paracas (elongated) skulls. DNA testing has been completed, and these data suggest that the Paracas skulls are human, but “very distant from Homo sapiens, Neanderthal, and the Denisovans”. The morphology of the skulls suggest they were NOT produced by head compression using boards or binding, as the cranial capacity was 25% larger than H. sapiens, and much heavier. But as a vertebrate paleontologist and evolutionary scientist, here’s what I find to be the most intriguing. The parietal bones (some people refer to them as “plates”) in the skulls of modern humans are paired (i.e. there are two of them). In the Paracas skulls, they are fused into one bone, without evidence of a line where they joined (called a “suture” in osteology). In all animals, fusion of paired bones is considered a “derived” or advanced feature. Throughout evolution, from fish to amphibians to reptiles to mammals, there has been a systematic reduction in the number of bones in the skull. Thus, what the Paracas skulls may represent are a more advance or derived form of human being; so advance in fact they it was probably impossible for them to interbreed with H. sapiens.

Now as a word of caution; we mustn’t go off half-cocked and assume that the Paracans were the result of extraterrestrial-human interbreeding. That is going beyond the evidence at hand. But, there IS sufficient evidence to suggest that they were an advanced, highly derived form of hominim; literally an advance mutation.

Finally, bear in mind that elongated heads appear frequently in other human cultures, especially among the rulership. The best example I can cite is Pharaoh Akhenaten, whose elongated head was always attributed to a “birth defect”; but was it? And it’s good to bear in mind that the crowns of the pharaohs all were elongated, as if to either accommodate (or emulate) an elongated head.

Food for thought….

DNA testing done by whom? At the moment I notice there is a range of new age declarations from Brien Foerester (sp) and crew about DNA testing proves the Paracas skulls are not human. That’s the thing WHO performed the testing, what institute, what dude, was he a professional.
I wish the internet would get a bit more factual on it’s reports.

Good questions. Forrester seems to be a serious and sincere, indy researcher. On the other hand, he spends a lot time pitching Inca Tours and asking for donations for DNA testing of these skulls. He is a writer, not an academic or scientists, which is fine just so everyone is clear on the facts. I recently had contact with him and seemed to still be seeking more funding. I will ask him who did the testing…if he wants to clear that up, perhaps he will.

Doesn’t make sense . If they can’t interbreed then they can’t be the same . Has to be a totally different species of “human” .This is like “planet of the apes’ when Charlton Heston ask why is the more advanced species comes first .
