The map above shows us what is known as the Ring of Fire. No, I’m not talking about the Johnny Cash song!  Recently there has been a series of earthquakes along the eastern part of the Ring of Fire.  (See above links)  Richard Shaw called me yesterday and said the 4.4 earthquake in Los Angeles shook his house for about ten seconds.   There was also a live news cast going on at the time and here’s the video clip of the talking heads reacting to the temblor. http://nypost.com/2014/03/17/earthquake-rocks-los-angeles/

The Guidebook to the supernatural i.e. The Bible warns us: There will be earthquakes in diverse places (in the last days).  Most of you who come here regularly know I have expounded on this verse before but will briefly do so again.  When Jesus warned us of this almost 2000 years ago there was no way to detect an earthquake if you lived in the Jordan Valley and an earthquake happened in Fukushima Japan.  You wouldn’t know.  Fast forward to modernity and my I-phone pings me every time there’s an earthquake great than 6.0.  I would posit that we are in the days where this prophecy is being fulfilled for those of us who have eyes to see.

The earthquake in Los Angeles is troubling to me as the San Onofre power plant is right along the shoreline of the Pacific ocean, in much the same way the reactors of the crippled Fukushima plant are/were.   http://sanonofresafety.org

What if the big one finally hits the Los Angeles area?  Will it be followed by tsunami?  If that were to happen depending on where the epicenter was and how far from land, a tsunami could perhaps up to 20 miles inland.  This would be devastating to Angelino’s.  http://www.nbcnews.com/video/nightly-news/52957465#52957465

In closing todays post.  The ring of fire seems to be waking up again and with it the threat of a large earthquake on the west coast.  However, we have been warned this would be coming in the last days and so we should prepare by stockpiling food and water.  More importantly we should be bold to tell others about the good news of the Bible.  Prophecy is a great way to open the conversation about who Jesus is!
