The Sound of One Hidden Hand Clapping
One of the hardest jobs that comes with reporting what I report is navigating the ‘National Security state‘. The most difficult thing about the job is where you have to report very bad news and reveal that sometimes criminal activity in the national security state warrants a bit of hard truth that at times triggers the sound of radios tuning out and people listening to what I call ‘like-minded programming’.
I have always said that my show is about the paranormal and the para-political and the exposure of the hidden hand in government that always seems to be there to help the powerful – and never the powerless.
Many of us can safely say that we are in that ‘powerless’ category. However, there is still time to learn that we do have power and that, in the future, empowerment is an imperative for national security and the security of those you love.
If we are informed and if we consider ourselves modern day Paul Reveres, we better get better at it. We better learn that what we choose to send through social media has a responsibility that goes with it.
I must admit that there are times where I make mistakes and sometimes do not have time to go through the vetting process of every story I post on my Facebook or Twitter. However, I do want to make perfectly clear that even though we report news items that are off the beaten path, we most certainly do not report all of the stories that are generated and we do not necessarily support any and all theories as matters of fact.
They are merely matters that must be “respectfully considered” and if any opinion or theory that I bring up is assumed to be fact, then I blame the “like-minded” media cult for the effectiveness in making opinions sound like facts and conspiracy theories sound like truth.
All things that are reported are most certainly open for research. I always urge my listeners to research what I talk about and I also caution that cognitive bias will most certainly warp what you may believe is truth, because no one wants to find out that everything that they have learned is wrong.
I would say, however, that there are many cherished myths and lies that we hold on to here in America and it is a difficult job to neutralize these myths and lies while navigating the national security state.
Today I was dismayed when I was sent a report from Newsweek – once again! – condemning a cancer in public discourse. That cancer, of course, is the conspiracy theorist.
In the new article “The Plots to Destroy America” by Kurt Eichenwald, conspiracy theories are being called the “clear and present danger” to political discourse and that there should be some sort of way to eliminate that which is being called “plots that destroy America.”
In the quest for full-spectrum dominance, the hidden hand is working overtime to do damage control by saying that it is difficult now to have a rational discussions and debates about issues in this country because of the rise of the “conspiracy theory.”
In fact, the so-called rational debate over the phenomenon has led to allegations that anything that questions the mainstream’s hive minded programming is a “clear and present danger” or a “plot to destroy America.”
In fact, the whole “conspiracy theory” pejorative has been levied against Americans now, more so than with the previous administration when one of the ‘mother of all conspiracy theories’ was being conceived in the aftermath of the September 11th, 2001 attacks on the United States.
At the time, it was warned that unless we curb the talk of “outrageous conspiracy theories,” we will be giving the enemy more reasons to attack us. No one bought into the fear ploy then and perhaps they are not buying into it now.
That is why we are beginning to see that the powerful statists and authoritarians in this so-called republic are now looking at any and all “conspiracy theory” as contagion and any and all that indulge in it are seditionists worthy of imprisonment.
Eichenwald writes, “While the growth in the number of news outlets has helped spread conspiracy theories, it doesn’t compare to the impact of social media and the Internet, experts say. With these technological advances, people who believe in a conspiracy can seal themselves off with like-minded people online, creating a situation in which no corrective information is heard but the theories can still spread.”
Researchers are now saying that “conspiracy theory” is simply reinforcing misconceptions that people have made into convictions.
That is only partly true.
While many of the accusations made about any conspiracy theories and those who spread them have a grain of truth to them, the research does not stop at just trying to dispel any theory. It actually goes into the areas of saying that “dissent” can fall into the same areas of ridicule and thus the credibility of such claims as “conspiracy contagion” and that it is the “plot to destroy America” no longer has currency.
It is apparent that we are hearing the sound of one hidden hand clapping and that the attempts at trying to discourage the idea of socially spreading conspiracy theories is nothing but a ploy to encourage blind allegiances and not question that which is presented in the media.
We now know that the media fails to inform us with real news that helps us. What it does inform us with is news and viewpoints that are blessed by the State Department. In some cases, big money is used to sway public viewpoints by raising doubt and suspicion.
The attempts at challenging the veracity of just about any ‘official narrative’ will trigger the like-minded media into reflexively dismissing you as a “conspiracy theorist” – which is a stark example of the mass manifesting of cognitive dissonance.
It is also important to point out that even though some people believe ‘the more theories, the merrier’ – I have to warn people that many theories that are presented on the Internet are now being brought forward by authors that have never been heard before, and there are many fringe commentators that thrown into the category of conspiracy theorists when they are most certainly not conspiracy theorists.
Many of the new “theorists” have actually been created to weaken the arguments against the mainstream narrative that have been well-researched. Meaning, that ‘one good theory’ that leads to solid exposure with well-backed evidence can be tainted by an association with another theorist that has no evidence to back his theories.
I have often been told that when I point out the “false claims” by another so-called conspiracy theorist or a conspiracy site, that it is bad form and that it is detrimental to truth.
I highly disagree with that statement.
Truth is truth, opinion is opinion and – until it is proven to be otherwise – we need to be practical and realize that just having a belief in something does not make that belief a truth. It is only a belief.
This presents another problem that needs to be addressed.
Many of us understand complexity. We also understand that complexity in any scenario includes lies, half-truths and omissions that we feel need to be exposed. Now, many will claim omissions are part of the organized lying that exists in the narrative. Politicians lie, they omit or defer information that is uncomfortable for them to answer.
We understand that misinformation is delivered to us on a daily basis and, not only are the talking heads being paid big incomes to report information, that big money is also a guarantee that the information that is meant to be kept out of the public dialogue will not ever surface. The media manufactures what they call truth—and the people swallow it up if they have no other resources to verify any report they receive.
It’s human nature to run from unwelcome truth rather than face it. Fear of unwelcome truth is the engine of terror. We are not afraid of complexity. We are afraid of destruction. We are afraid of not knowing everything about information that is presented and so the idea of social exchange and independent viewpoints is inviting and comforting.
However, your government wants you to believe that conspiracies do not exist and that – of course – is a falsehood. The rogue criminal element in top ranking positions has reached epidemic proportions.
Men and women of wealth and power conspire routinely. Anybody who denies this is sadly misinformed.
If the conspiracy theorists in question are trying to bring a bit of clarity to an already murky world of treachery, then why is there such an outcry from the mainstream press?
Why does the press say that conspiracy theorists are simple-minded and afraid of reality? Why do they call them phobic and afraid of their own shadows?
It is because the media is now in the business of weaponizing words and terms. It is obvious that this is the trend in media. Perhaps it is something that we can illustrate as being a form of Newspeak.
We have been schooled in the media about what constitutes a domestic terrorist, or a racist and what the consequences are of using free speech. We have seen that even in the privacy of our own homes, or on an elevator or elsewhere. No one is above reproach and we now are participating in a new form of telescreen, panopticon pornography where we watch policemen beat up suspects and singers beat up family members.
It reminds of the sterile hologram entertainment that was shown in the George Lucas’ ‘THX 1138′. First it was the image of a muscular black female dancing, a form of pornography — then images of political discussion and then the image of police man beating someone into submission.
The ‘conspiracy theory contagion‘ that the mainstream media is saying is dangerous is simply a result of a media that did not do its job in calling for the arrests of Bush and Cheney, after the planning that was in writing provided by the ‘Project for the New American Century‘.
The media was not instrumental in demanding that the NSA be shut down and that there should be legal hearing about the illegal spying on American citizens. The media was instrumental in spinning a conspiracy theory about Edward Snowden and Wiki leaks and every other independent source out there blowing the whistle.
Did the media fully investigate the death of the Rolling Stone magazine whistleblower Michael Hastings as he was about to open up a can of worms with regard to corruption in the Obama administration and the military?
Did any of the mainstream media thoroughly investigate what happened on September 11th, 2001 and how many governments funded that attack on the United States? Was it because one of the governments who did help fund this attack is a government that we seldom question and continue to support in their decisions, good or bad?
What about Benghazi? Is this really a Tea Party issue or has it just been called that by media groups who see it as a possible reason to impeach yet another President that does nothing to correct the mistakes of the past? Is it really anathema for me to make that statement against a President who just so happens to be of color and is it prudent to call me a racist without truly knowing my background and my record on issues of race and equality?
Like any other psyop, it’s so easy to let other people to do your thinking for you. It is simple to listen to hive-minded programming that does nothing to expand the mind and to get people to understand that all things are not so easily put into a box.
However, there many things that can be.
That is every single one of us, if we allow information to go unchallenged and if we allow passive reactions to what we are being told, then we will be ripe for the overreach of the National Security state.
That overreach will include the disappearance of dissidence, the death of whistleblowers, and the indefinite detainment of those that the powerful consider enemies of the state.
It is not too late to speak up against the weaponizing of words, and the condemnation of the so-called “conspiracy theorist.”
We must speak up, be the media and keep the dialogue going while we still have the freedom to do so.
