“This is an epidemic that is not just a threat to regional security. It’s a potential threat to global security, if these countries break down, if their economies break down, if people panic. That has profound effects on all of us, even if we are not directly contracting the disease,” Obama added.

It’s up to us to consider the world around us and how the events we see unfolding before us jibe with the prophecies Jesus warned us would come, just before his second coming.  As we look around the globe we see and hear the warnings—wars and rumors of wars, famines, pestilence, and earthquakes—He said would herald His coming.

Pestilence is upon us as Ebola is a very deadly disease and has the potential of becoming a pandemic.  If this happens perhaps millions would die.  Let’s hope the CDC and the medical community puts a stop to the outbreak.  Let’s also hope infected people aren’t riding on planes to all points on the globe!

Is this really business as usual?  When taken with the other signs Jesus warned us about are we seeing an uptick in disasters?  The fact that the globe is now wired and linked together via satellites and the Internet allows us to access information in ways we could have only imagined a few decades ago.  If a tsunami devastates the coast of Fukushima, Japan, we see it in real-time, here in the USA.   This is unprecedented.  ‘

Think about the live coverage of the Iraqi campaign labeled Shock and Awe.  We saw it unfold via the satellites orbiting overhead.

We can monitor earthquakes in diverse places, just like Jesus warned us about.  Remember when he is stating this almost two thousand years ago there is simply no way to monitor an earthquake in Japan, if you lived in Jerusalem.  Bottom line is, you wouldn’t know about it.  Now my iPhone pings every time a temblor happens over 6.0.

Back in 2010, the Eyjafjallajokull volcano, which melted through 200 metres of glacier, sent more than 200 million cubic metres of fine ash billowing almost 10 kilometres into the sky. As a result, several European countries were forced to ground or re-route thousands of flights for several days.

It’s back and perhaps with a vengeance.  If the Eyjafjallajokull or the super volcano Bardarbunga erupts the results could be anything from a nuclear winter, because of the ash cloud, to the delay or cancellation of air traffic.  This is a very real threat to the global food supply if the eruption is severe.

The bees pollinate the plants which in turn feed us.  Without the bees the plants can not bear fruit.  What concerns me is the die off of bees, on a global level.  How long can this continue before the consequences become devastating?

In closing todays post.  There are wars and rumors of wars around our planet.  We see nation—think ethnicity here—rise against nation.  We see the rise of antisemitism, which I believe has a major supernatural component.  We see signs in the heavens as thousands of UFOs are reported on a monthly basis and many countries have formally acknowledged their reality.  We are told what to look for, what to keep track of and in my opinion we are seeing these signs manifesting now.  The question is this.  As the body count rises from wars, famines and natural disasters, where is the tipping point?  When does it become overwhelming?  When do events stack up in such unprecedented ways that mankind as a whole throws up its collective hands in confusion, and despair?

I believe we need to heed the words of Jesus, for they are for a time such as the one we are living in.  All of His warnings are happening now and I think we will soon see a tipping point….
