I am the mother of four and grew up in the Hudson Valley. I enjoy the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and horseback riding. I am the Owner/ Operator of the Hook Line &Sinker Bait Shop here in Red Hook, New York. I also have a business called Feather Fantasy’s by Gayle both blogs can be found online. I am a Capricorn. I had a frightening encounter back in the late 60′s while solo camping on Stissing Mountain where I grew up. It is in the Town of Pine Plains.  It wasn’t until 2012 when the Animal Planet Show finding Bigfoot came out that I realized the sounds I heard that night were made by a Bigfoot. I decided to google Bigfoot sighting in Dutchess County and the first thing that came up was a daylight sighting by two women on Lake Road in Pine Plains, which is where I lived! I soon became fascinated with the subject and started my research . I then found other like minded people in the area and formed my group called Bigfoot Researchers of the Hudson Valley. We have spent many hours doing field research, and have reason to believe that there is a large breeding population of Sasquatch living in our area. We have gathered casts from tracks ranging from 6″-20″ as well as hair samples and scat. I have received many eye witness accounts and have started our own database of sightings in the Hudson Valley. We also do Presentations on the subject to educate the residents. We did a Town Hall meeting last May in Red Hook, and we do quarterly meetings at The Enchanted Cafe in Red Hook. Our next one is tomorrow night at January 31st 6 pm, it will be a demonstration on how to cast tracks as well as teaching the public what signs to look for near there homes for possible activity.
