 Turkey recalls ambassador over pope’s Armenia genocide comments

Historians estimate that up to 1.5 million Armenians were killed by Ottoman Turks around the time of World War I, an event widely viewed by scholars as the first genocide of the 20th century.

Who was responsible for the mass execution of 1.5 Armenians?  The Turks, and they were/are Moslems.  The Armenians, for the most part were Christians.  The 1.5 Million people who were killed, genocidally by the Turks, were Christians.  The Pope also said this…

He said similar massacres are under way today against Christians who because of their faith are “publicly and ruthlessly put to death — decapitated, crucified, burned alive — or forced to leave their homeland,” a reference to the Islamic State group’s assault against Christians in Iraq and Syria.

The Armenians were systamatically starved to death.  They were forced to march for miles without any clear destination, the sole purpose being that the march itself would eventually kill the people, the young, old, women and children.  The Turks refuse to own up to the genocide they created and instead recall their diplomats from the Vatican.

Shame on Erdogan and the Turkish government for not owning up to the atrocities they committed in WWI.

Think about the Christians being slaughtered for their faith even now in Iraq, Yemen, Syria and Africa.  Not much has changed in the region since WW I, and the genocide that is happening now is not being reported by our media.  Surprise, surprise. surprise!
