Eerie figure engulfed in flames appears in news report photo

A woman recently noticed something strange in a photo from an old news report. In the photo, a ghostly figure can be seen engulfed in flames in a fire that occurred at her townhouse. She sent the photo to the paranormal website Ghost Study to be analyzed this month.

A North Carolina woman named Jeannie recently submitted a photo to Ghost Study of what she believes might be evidence of the paranormal. In the photo, an eerie figure is seen lurking inside of a structure fire.

According to Fox News affiliate WGHP, the fire occurred at the Arboretum townhouse apartment complex at 701 Campbell Gardens Road in Kernersville, North Carolina on August 27, 2013. Fire department officials determined that the fire was intentionally set and police are investigating whether it ties with other fires set in the neighborhood.

“I live in a townhouse complex in NC. We have had several fires in our area. A pyromaniac has been setting things on fire all over the neighborhood. Our end unit was completely burned. The newsman for WGHP 8 in High Point, NC had gone behind our townhouses to take a picture of the fire from the back side. When I looked at the picture on the news site, it seemed to have a figure standing there. I see what appears to be a dark stick beside the figure, like a walking stick. It appears to be female to me. I don’t know whether this is a spirit, a ghost, or an angel, but she is definitely there,” Jeannie said to Jim Eaton of Ghost Study.

Some people think that the figure might be visual paredolia. Other folks believe that it might actually be a spirit or a guardian angel.

“There’s no way to make a definite determination but if this is an angel, we have it on film for your discretion. The family however, takes great comfort in this as being a sign, because they lost everything in the fire,” Eaton said in response to the photo.
