The short verse above is a quote from Mathew 24, where Jesus is telling us what will be one of the signs, that we should look for which will indicate His return.

Nation will rise against nation….

The word nation can mean ethos or people.

What we see happening in the Middle East, with the recent slaughter of 300 Christians by ISIL, points back to this verse.

These 300 Christians were killed because they believed in Jesus.  I am reminded of this verse that we find in Revelation:

And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. Revelation 20.

I  do not believe we are in the Tribulation period, as the verse above specifies, but nevertheless, I find the verse sobering and it certainly describes the fate of many of these 300 Christians killed by ISIL.

There is a tension in the world as people—one ethnic group—are rising up against each other.  We see it here in places like Ferguson and Baltimore.  We hear about it in Africa, as we read about the atrocities committed by Boko Haram, who like ISIL, single out the Christians and put them to death.

In Yemen the Houthi’s—an ethnic group in the minority—have essentially taken over the country!

Perhaps the most glaring example is the global rise of antisemitism, where the Jews are singled out and hated just because they are Jews.

Every Friday, in Tehran, Iran, the Iranians come together and shout Death to America!  Death to Israel.  If the American people saw what was happening in Iran, there would be outrage, but our media won’t show these pictures on the news, so the American people remain asleep, which is just the way the-powers-that-be want it.

Instead we get John Kerry telling us the nuclear deal with Iran will happen: If Allah wills it!

I show a clip, in my presentations, from when the Arab Spring swept through Egypt and tens of thousands of people gathered in Tahrir square and chanted:  To Jerusalem we go, martyrs in the millions!

Once again most Americans are unaware of the true intentions of the Egyptian people, as this clip, which should be run on the evening news, is ignored and so the American people don’t understand the deep hatred of Israel and the Jews by her Egyptian neighbors.

In closing todays Bun:  When the King returns—and it may be soon—all of the hatred between peoples will cease.  All nations will look on Him and realize He is the one and only, true God, the creator of the Universe, the God/man Yeshua/Jesus.

This verse tells us what will happen….

Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, 2in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him;… Revelation 22: 2

He knows the nations rage against each other and this is why the leaves of the trees are used… to heal the nations.  He will bring about peace on earth between ethnicities.  This is the promise.  This is our hope.

What was written will come to pass.  What was foretold will unfold.  L. A.
