Under A Jaded Helm

UNDER A JADED HELM

There was a time not so far back in the past where Americans could find common ground with idea that they did not trust their government. Before the attacks on 911 the United States was somewhat “united” in their fight to keep government under the watchful eye of its people. There was an estimated 76 percent of American people surveyed that believed that peace and safety within the borders was a worthy cause and that it was the responsibility of every American to provide for the common defense.

In that time Americans knew their Constitution, they knew the true meaning of rights as they were detailed. They knew that their second Amendment right would never infringed or questioned and their first amendment rights were not based in how far they could go, but how much could be expressed against their government and not an excuse to hate someone else’s race or religious affiliation.

The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution states: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” The reference to a “well regulated” militia, probably conjures up a connotation at odds with the meaning intended by the Framers. In today’s English, the term “well regulated” probably implies heavy and intense government regulation. However, that conclusion is erroneous.

The words “well regulated” had a far different meaning at the time the Second Amendment was drafted. In the context of the Constitution’s provisions for Congressional power over certain aspects of the militia, and in the context of the Framers’ definition of “militia,” government regulation was not the intended meaning. Rather, the term meant only what it says, that the necessary militia be well regulated, but not by the national government.

The overriding purpose of the Framers in guaranteeing the right of the people to keep and bear arms was as a check on the standing army, which the Constitution gave the Congress the power to “raise and support.”

A well armed public and a well armed militia was necessary to keep checks and balances on the national governments standing Army. They would take oaths and would swear to uphold the constitution against enemies both foreign and domestic.

It was the public’s responsibilities to self govern when the national government couldn’t. The public had to secure the promise of liberty to ourselves and our posterity. There was no party division amongst the people when it came to securing our borders and protecting us from militarized forces provide by the state.

We believed in equality under the law. We were proud to say that we were one nation under God. We knew that every member of the United States had the freedom to worship god according to what his conscience or his heart told him. He was never told where he could worship, who he had to worship, or what he should worship.

We were mature enough to establish that if a man in the country worshipped his own god in his own way that he most certainly was part of an even greater unity.

Americans were so patriotic; the fourth of July seemed like Christmas in the summer time. You would always get a lump in your throat when the veterans would march in the parade with the stars and stripes. There was a near unanimous belief that we were the shining city upon a hill, and that we were and always would be the greatest nation on Earth.

Some still believe it, but now for the majority of Americans it is reduced to some selfish patriotism — a non inclusive attitude that shuns anyone who even wants to come to this country to feel that spirit that was once the American spirit. The pride Americans feel for their country is slipping away, and is now an undeniable fact. We remain one nation under God, but most Americans are militant in saying that we are one nation under one god or else.

This creates a bit of mistrust between people who also worship their own god and it is said that the one God Americans worship is the only God and all other gods are liars and murderously unmerciful.

We are now divided because of how we worship. We are divided over who we love or choose to love. We are divided over race and which race is better behaved. We are also divided over whether or not we should abide by a new corporal form of government. A form of government that is more ruthless, and tyrannical, one that is pushing forward with the idea that it should be the new world empire.

The most frightening thing about the heavy-handed nature of the police state is that with the right amount of generated fear and peer pressure, the populace consents to accept misgovernment as a fact of life.

The media becomes useless as they encourage the people to allow themselves to be misgoverned, constantly reminding them that despite the fact that their government is despotic, they are well entertained and that other places on the planet are worse off. The bread and circuses have been developed to perpetuate the illusion that America is still intact.

Your duty is to accept the lesser of the two evils you voted for, that your ballots are the alternative to revolutionary bullets, that football games are merely a practice run for all-out war or the ritualized murder of the team you consider weaker or less capable of defending itself.

These programming exercises reinforce the notion that no one gets hurt if they play by the rules, that there are restrictions to the system.

The way the system has deteriorated over time gives me a reason to be politically direct and speak of how we have established as a nation a default system in order to eliminate what we once called “normal American freedoms.” Today the system has determined that your ability to be a normal American is based wholly on your place in the power structure.

We have created a statist system where we rank people from those who are superior to us to those whom we view as subhuman or worthless. The idea of survival of the fittest is eliminated through our appointed and voted upon authoritarian system.

We have allowed ourselves to pretty much believe that we have appointed through the ballot box someone who is more superior than we are to dole out resources, suspend human rights, and hire an army to create a police state capable of eliminating those that they tell us are subhuman and worthless.

This whole exercise is becoming an immoral excuse for destroying your own dignity and your ability to sustain life, guarantee liberty and the pursuit of monetary increase in order to provide happiness and safety for those you love and associate with.

You submit to authority and you don’t even know why. You just do it, without question. Because you know what happens when you question. You are either shot or tased. Then you are hauled into the system, fingerprinted and held in containment until they can figure out what to do with you.

You hear what you are charged with, and they love to tack on to your charges things that you weren’t even a part of. That sets your bail higher and your jail time longer. All the while you are confined without having your case placed before a court of law.

You do not realize how even while you are suspected of a crime you still have no real constitutional rights and they have all been replaced with indefinite detention laws contained in the NDAA and unknown laws or provisions within the clauses of the Patriot Acts 1 and 2.

Americans have a tendency to be in denial that what they are seeing is trouble. They seem to think that things like this simmer down and go away. The tension seems to have been cultivated for years and now we are beginning to see it explode in various areas in the United States. People can remain oblivious to these so called isolated incidents but it must be reiterated that recent actions taken by our government and the governments of other industrialized nations suggest that we are most definitely at an apex. That the United States has taken measures that are virtually a confirmation that we are a nation that in their opinion needs to be under control.

We must acknowledge that there is no need for the National Defense Authorization act unless they plan on indefinitely detaining American citizens without charge or trial — making it into law indicates that doing so is part of the new plan and lifestyle for Americans citizens.

We must also recognize the reasons for President Obama’s signing of executive order addendums known as National Defense Resources Preparedness order giving him executive power to dictate agencies under his authority to allow for the seizure of food, land and fuel. Why would a President allow for a preplanned dictatorship unless the crisis is underway and the deadline has now expired?

The United States government has also authorized the use of 30,000 armed surveillance drones over American cities. Has anyone in the mainstream media or elsewhere asked why or explained the reason for the increase of the surveillance network?

Is the denial upon denial about the Jade Helm 15 exercise a tell-tale sign that the military is preparing for a possible mission creep within United States soil because of a threat from within, that could prove to be deadly in the near future?

Can we also determine the reason why the military has now been briefed on riot control, and trained in urban warfare activities including mass arrest and the “operation protocols” for prisons and or internment camps?

All of the war game plans specifically deal with protests, riots and even violent confrontations. There are also provisions and protocols on how to deal with people who are detained during possible uprisings. The solutions proposed include the division of the county into 10 sections and with each section a regional detainment camps provided by the Department of Homeland security and the shelved REX-84 programs. These camps are NOT FEMA camps but highly secured residential centers that are near railroads and major highways that can deploy vast numbers of people by truck or rail car.

I want I again assure you that that our government is preparing for situation critical in the United States. The reports and the documentation cannot be ignored and should not be reduced to alarmist paranoia or conspiracy theory.

The government succeeds by public consent. So does the police state. The way to kill fear is to refuse to be afraid. The way to eliminate terror is to refuse to be terrorized. To stop the war zone at home, we must refuse to believe that everything is remedied by brute force.

Americans function while constantly perceiving real or artificial severity in all situations. When we have a police force that is visually indistinguishable from the military, the perception is that the person who law enforcement is seeking is deserving of being killed in the public square by high powered weapons.

If you notice that many of the stories you hear in the media result in tragic outcomes, it is because they are meant to be that way. Tragic stories further the justification of surveillance and the war zone state.

This is all a part of the new image of fascism, a cleaner, less complicated America where fresh faces can fool people into believing sob stories that scare them into accepting laws and policies they dislike.

We hope as American citizens that those who are in place to protect our liberty know just how important their oath to protect the constitution is. That we must fight to protect it from enemies both foreign and domestic.

Tonight, Clyde Lewis asks Oathkeepers Stewart Rhodes, Jeff W. Ford and Ben Fisher what will happen if they are asked by the government to violate their oaths to the Constitution.
