Curiosity finds Ancient Wall and Drainage ditch up on a mountain on Mars

According to this video, Martian Archaeology was analyzing a NASA photo taken by the Curiosity Rover when he happened to find structures on the planet Mars which not look natural at all.

In the background there is a formation that appears to show an ancient wall and drainage ditch up on the mountain.

These artificial structures are new evidence that Mars was inhabited thousands of years ago by intelligent beings?

I think the picture you are looking at does NOT show an ancient wall or a drainage ditch.
It shows the broken edge of a flat srata of rock on the edge of a hill/mountain (your “wall”)
It shows the gravel like rubble of martian soil that has eroded down the hillside and was divided by a mass sitting atop the rock strata I just mentioned.
Look at it closely without trying to make it into something it is not.
There may well be a human base or two on Mars, and there may well be signs of previous habitation there. But this picture is not evidence of anything but natural erosion.
There are far too many people willing to see faces, figures, rodents, skulls, and cities who misrepresent photos of natural formation as something else – just for the titilation factor.
It’s like seeing faces in carpet textures or on linoleum flooring or on burnt toast.
Sorry … but do please keep looking.

Your image headlining this story is a shopped version, with some areas darkened, and others left original. Click the NASA link to see the real, and even less impressive image.

And, again, I love how everyone always says NASA is lying, covering things up, and editing pictures, until they cross their eyes and run image damaging filters on the picture, and claim to see walls and cars. As if maybe someone made a mistake and accidentally uploaded the “TOP SECRET ALIENS” folder instead of the “PUBLIC” folder.
