Many people can’t wait to get the latest details about the newest conspiracy theories, while other people dismiss these theories as being ridiculous and false. However, this is what many governments, corporations and others with the ability to bribe, threaten and manipulate want you to think.

While some skepticism is undoubtedly healthy, especially when it comes to hearing an objective view on a particular subject, in some cases the skepticism can go too far. When this happens, it does nothing to debunk the conspiracy theory and in fact it has quite the opposite affect, only serving to add fuel to the fire. In many cases, some skeptics are not adding anything new to the discussion, but simply reiterating the “mainstream” line of thought.

Here are 5 conspiracy theories that many people attempted to dismiss, but were later found to be based in fact and absolutely true.

KENNEDY ASSASSINATION – 2^ND INVESTIGATION BY CONGRESS

In 1976 the United States House of Representatives Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) was established to investigate both the John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr. assassinations. The HSCA met from 1976 to 1978 and finally in 1979 issued its final report that concluded that President Kennedy was probably assassinated not only by the Mafia but maybe the CIA.

The 1979 report consisted not only of the report, but also contained 12 volumes of appendices on each assassination and was published by Congress.  In the case of President Kennedy the report stated that there was a “probable conspiracy” however they were unable to discover who else participated besides Oswald.

Their report, partially based upon a tape recording of the shots, was also based in the fact that Ruby may have had Mafia and even CIA or FBI connections to Oswald.

So the question becomes: What made them come to the conclusion that the assassination of JFK was more than likely conspiracy?

It could be that many witnesses, some who were CIA and station chiefs in Dallas the morning of the assassination, were killed the night before they were due to testify.  As an example, George de Mohrenschildt was a geologist that became a friend of Oswald’s months before the assassination. Mr. de Mohrenschildt also worked for the CIA at the time, and according to reports, blew his brains out the night before he was due to testify before the committee.

The HSCA also discovered some very interesting facts about Oswald during the course of their investigation.  They learned that Oswald, while in the Marines learned how to speak Russian and at the height of the Cold War was given money by the State Department to travel to Russia, but not before stopping off at a top secret facility in Japan.  The committee found evidence to suggest that Oswald was probably working during the Cold War and was ordered to infiltrate Russia as either a double agent or defector of some type.  Upon his return he received money from the State Department to buy a house and he was working with an ex FBI chief and CIA officials in helping to train anti-Castro Cubans for an invasion.

While working in Louisiana, Oswald was involved with Operation Mongoose where he worked under the supervision of CIA operative David Ferrie. Operation Mongoose worked with the Southern Mafia leaders because the casinos in Cuba that got shut down after Castro took control, were really epicenters for control of the country of Cuba. The CIA even hired the mafia to assassinate Castro and three unsuccessful attempts were made on Castro’s life.  Coincidently, David Ferrie allegedly killed himself before testifying before the committee.

What’s interesting is that over 100 people connected to the assassination died within a few years of what is termed, “unusual circumstances.” The ones who didn’t end up dead, showed up in other conspiracies.

For example, E. Howard Hunt who was a CIA agent confessed to being involved in a conspiracy to assassinate President Kennedy on his deathbed.  Hunt was also one of the Watergate thieves.

The money trail from the conspiracy to assassinate President Kennedy that leads to many other people, most of who were murdered and, had they lived, could have exposed the conspiracy theory behind the assassination.

The conclusions arrived at by the HSCA are in direct opposition to the Warren Commissions findings and both reports are from congressional committees.  So the real question is: Which report is true?
