Authoritarian Kleptocracy

AUTHORITARIAN KLEPTOCRACY

I think I have shared with my audience the fact that I have a very small screen television that always runs a news feed in my bedroom. I know that it is crazy because I am exposed to it every day. I realized that having a news source running in the background is important.

There are some people that have a radio in the background running low. I just have a TV screen so if any bulletins come on I can immediately awaken and start reporting what is happening.

Lately, though there really hasn’t been too much news at home to even care about except for the same old same old. What I mean is that each new day seems to being with it a geopolitical crisis that we cannot get a handle on, or some political debacle that is typical of the corruption we are used to, more dire economic warnings or some environmental threat that we are told can be controlled if we just redistribute the wealth in the world.

On the subject of wealth, no matter whatever is served as food for thought on the news there is always room for Donald Trump.

Trump is like pie or Jell-O in the metaphoric dinner that is served on the morning and nightly news feed. What is even more interesting is that there is barely enough information to satisfy the appetite and so the media goes right for the desert when they bring up the Donald and America is eating it up.

Now I really don’t give an endorsement to any candidate because I see it as a conflict of interest, and being part of any party in my opinion is complete exercise in futility. Being called a conservative or liberal is just another label that most certainly would be best if it were put on a can of dog food.

However, you cannot avoid a conversation anymore without having someone comment about Donald Trump.

This morning I heard that Donald Trump made another comment about Megyn Kelly, which makes me wonder if he has a crush on her. Then there was that video he released on Instagram about the Chinese and our economy.

Trump warned us in the video that if we are not careful China will bring us down.
“I’ve been telling everybody for a long time China’s taking our jobs. They’re taking our money. Be careful: They’ll bring us down,” Trump said in the post. “You have to know what you’re doing. We have nobody that has a clue.”

He also tweeted “As I have long stated, we are so tied in with China and Asia that their markets are now taking the U.S. market down. Get smart U.S.A.”

After the news media reports what Trump says they have to show a video of Jeb Bush being all flustered like a 15 year old pimpled fat kid turned down by the homecoming queen at a prom and then commentators who always ask “Why is he so high in the polls and what is his appeal?”

Well of course there is the idea that he is a “lovable narcissist” or that he is “politically incorrect” or that he is more interesting than walking socialist sock puppet, Barry Sanders.

I however, see it differently and I think I know why the American people have responded so favorably to the Trump cult of personality.

It is because Trump always tells us what most Americans may already know and that the government has turned into an Authoritarian Kleptocracy.

Now I know I have stated that our government has been ruled by the shadow government, that the cryptocracy is full of cronyism, and that the Obama administration has allowed itself to be the apotheosis of political party culture.

I even say that we are spiraling into the depths of despotism.

However, Donald Trump who some say is a political idiot has said, using the vernacular of a high school drop out that our government has been taken over by greedy thieves and that the mob is making us all slaves to the authoritarian dialectic.

He is constantly reminding everyone that being a man of money – he sees how the thieves are stealing from us and are demanding that we become enslaved by their unfair laws and practices.

The American collective psyche along with its image and action parameters has somehow allowed itself to reject the notion that slowly we have been acclimated to accept an alien and demagogic political system.

I have said many times that this alien system seems as if it is some sort of synarchy where there is a shadowy politico-occult movement that makes the decisions and then dictates them to the figure heads in Washington.

Trump however is a powerful and wealthy man who is trying to shake people out of their collective trance and people seem to be responding to it.

Americans have for some time associated authoritarian rule as a mode of governance that includes the dictatorships seen in Latin America in the 1970s and, of course, in its most extreme extremes, Nazi rule and Mussolini’s fascist state in the 1930s and 1940s.

Many Americans do not realize that authoritarian governments are now finding common ground with how the United States is being run, and how some Americans have developed a philosophy that is similar to this form of leadership.

Throughout history authoritarian societies idealized war, soldiers, nationalism, militarism, political certainty, fallen warriors, racial cleansing, and a dogmatic allegiance to the homeland and exceptionalism.

We have all been exposed to this kind of government with historic films and television shows about fascist Europe, or fascist Latino governments. If you take notice, these historic moments of tyranny would mix fascist and religious symbols with the language of God, family, and country, and were integral to promoting servility and conformity among the populace.

These governments also had people in leadership positions that were apostles of greed, autocratic strong men that would shower themselves and their cronies with all of the spoils of extracted wealth, whether stolen from the people or squeezed from their country’s natural resources.

Donald Trump may represent the greedy man of money, however he wants to sound like he will shower the people with wealth, protect them from those that he has associated with that are greedy, and to eliminate those who wish to leech off the system and steal from the people.

He is a so called conservative that isn’t dragging on about the signs of a rushing socialism or fascism but of staggeringly self-aggrandizing greed and theft in our government right under our noses.

He is warning us about how the Chinese have rigged the system and that they want to steal from us our financial and economic stability.

He is a corporate spokesperson who is confessing his past sins at the expense of the thieves in the authoritarian kleptocracy who he knows are sinning too.

He will tell you that your pockets are being emptied in order to benefit major corporations and financial institutions. He is warning us of dangerous alliances and is revealing that massive sums of money are being passed to the representatives of the people and how hard working are being passed up for benefits, and other ways of maintaining stability and living the overused axiom of the American dream.

All of this once again is evidence of a kleptocracy wrapped up in fancy rhetoric, and demonstrated with the keen sleight of hand that can be comparable to a street magician.

Donald Trump is exposing something that is lacking in the political arena and that is the art of being candid.

America never really has experienced a controversial bout of political radicalism or even realism. Everything is so sanitized for corporate consumption and as much as the corporate niceties try to malign the candidate with the big mouth, the more Americans are learning about how we have been bullied into accepting the authoritarian kleptocracy.

Trump is a reality TV star as well as a billionaire and is used to playing to an audience and acting like a big-shot who can say anything without anyone calling him to task. Now he tells us we have been lied to, we have been stolen from and that we face an invasion of immigrants that will steal even more money from us.

Some call it bigotry others call it radical honesty. It may work in the short-term but of course actions speak louder than words do. People know his record in business dealings and even though he has seen his days of failure he certainly has shown how to make a business work.

What drives America today is, in fact, business.

However, it’s not the fair-minded “free enterprise” system read about in American history books. Trump tells us what we want to hear and what we have felt all along; the system is rigged of crony capitalism that increasingly ends in unabashed kleptocracy.

Keep in mind that this is not an endorsement, but an observation that I feel is lacking in the political arena with regard to the appeal of a populist candidate. Trump brings new meaning to the phrase “follow the money” and he also points out “where the money has gone.”

Most Americans wouldn’t have the opportunity to see what billion dollars looks like let alone understand what trillions of dollars look like sitting on palettes waiting to be taken by forklift to pay for weapons and expensive play dates with world leaders. Think of all of those mountains of cash stacked and wrapped tightly sent out to Iraq and simply disappeared. Think of the two wars that sucked all of that money away, think of the trillions of dollars that were used to protect the state department and all of the embassies from terrorists. Still with all of that lunch money thievery into the trillions, we still are told that we are not safe and that there are bigger bullies that want to harm us. Now who are the thieves pocketing that money?

Donald Trump is to politics what Penn and Teller are to magic, and what the Amazing Randy is to paranormal fraud.

He is showing us that it is all a matter of kleptocratic magic. The thieves have figured out how to make the money disappear from your account and having it reappear in theirs.
