At one time Deanna was ready to join the Navy after talking to a Navy Recruiter. Deanna sought adventure and international travel and what better way to do it? Join the Navy. This would have been in 2005, after her graduation from high school. Due to other life situations, this never came to fruitation. Perhaps, just perhaps in another alternate universe, Deanna is in the Navy.

If Deanna was stationed on the USS Nimitz, this is where she would be deployed in 2005:

SAN DIEGO (NNS) — More than 6,200 Sailors from the USS Nimitz (CVN 68) Carrier Strike Group (CSG) deployed from San Diego May 7 to conduct operations in the Central and Western Pacific. The ships will support the global war on terrorism with joint and combined operations and carry out other assignments as directed.

The Nimitz CSG includes Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 11, Destroyer Squadron 23, the Aegis-equipped guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG 59), the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers USS Higgins (DDG 76) and USS Chafee (DDG 90), the fast combat support ship USNS Bridge (T-AOE 10), and the Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Louisville (SSN 724). All of the ships in the Nimitz CSG are homeported in San Diego, Calif., with the exception of Chafee and Louisville, both homeported in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and Bridge, homeported in Bremerton, Wash. Higgins departed May 6.

Nimitz is the flagship for the strike group commander, Rear Adm. Peter Daly, commander, Carrier Strike Group 11. On deployment, Nimitz is also home to Commander, Destroyer Squadron 23, commanded by Capt. Gordan Van Hook, and Carrier Air Wing 11, commanded by Capt. Tom Cropper.

Deanna has a strong interest in UFOs and perhaps if she was deployed on the USS Nimitz, she would have had an encounter since UFOs seem to be attracted to this war ship. Below are some UFO encounters with the USS Nimitz:

The USS Nimitz has a long history of being involved in various wars and squirmishes. The USS Nimitz also has a history of navy personnel who have witnessed UFO activity. Here is one of those reports. In August 1991, location: Pacific Ocean, the USS Nimitz is headed for Hawaii after a long deployment in the first Gulf War. Kevin Via a PH2 on the USS Nimitz had the assignment of photographing and documenting enemy aircraft. On one particular day in 1991, Kevin heard buzzing everywhere. The buzzing resonated through his body. When this occurred Via looked over the starboard side and was astounded at seeing a USO (Unidentified Submerged Object) rise out of the ocean. The object coming out of the ocean was larger than the USS Nimitz. In Via’s own words, he says: “I’m not sure if it was lights coming down from the ship or the ocean itself was being illuminated. It had to be that this thing came from out of the water. I knew that I saw something from another world. The craft continues to rise until it levels off above the height of the Nimitz. And it sits there about for about 15 minutes, not making any sound, although he says the buzzing sensation remained the whole time. The craft now appeared to have no apparent color, it almost looked like glass. It started to move slightly, and then all of a sudden it went up and I mean up fast. It was literally from where it was at me in front of the ocean to a pinpoint in the sky in a half a second. Via’s UFO report has been filed with MUFON. This is just one incident of a UFO encounter with the USS Nimitz.

Here is another example of Navy personnel witnessing a UFO on the USS Nimitz:

Gulf of Oman, near Iran – 1978 or 1979, 11:00 P.M. to 2:30 A.M.
The crew of the U.S.S. Nimitz spotted a glowing object about 1500 yards to starboard. It was a cigar-shaped UFO with two portholes just above the water’s surface. Photography was attempted, and failed. The object was not picked up on ship’s radar. Several members watched the object for several hours through binoculars. Commanding officers informed those who witnessed the object that they were not to talk about it.

Larry (last name not disclosed) told the HPI paranormal hotline that he witnessed a UFO following the USS Nimitz in the Pacific Ocean. The UFO was disc shaped and moving side to side and was 3 miles out – behind the ship. Other crew members witnessed the UFO, but in fear of repercussions, kept the incident a secret and it was never revealed to the officer in charge. Larry is now out of the Navy and he recently has a dream, or a nightmare if you will of being captive inside a white luminous sterile room and held down by some kind of semisolid resilient substance on a metallic table. He could hear the screams of a Navy staff member and was able to recognize the voice. Larry knew he was surrounded by strange beings, but was not able to see their faces and a machine with a point was above his head. He woke from this nightmare in a cold sweat and wonders if it had anything to do with his encounter with a UFO on the USS Nimitz.
