There are many different paths to follow on this planet.  Wars have been fought over which “path” or religion is the correct one to follow.  Here’s something for us to think about.  Christianity differs from any other “path” on the planet as it has a rescue.  In other words we are told by Paul: To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord! We are also told that one day we will put on immortality! In other words this is the rescue from the curse of death, the concept that we too will be raised from the dead and live with our King forever! We have in our Redeemer, Yeshua/Jesus the model that we will eventually follow, for those of us who have come to knowledge of the risen savior. When He rose physically from the dead, three days after His burial, he triumphed over death: Death where is they sting!   There has never been anyone else on this planet to claim this.  There are stories but there is no “proof” of those stories.  Contrary to this lack of proof, we have the written accounts—the Gospels—that tell us Yeshua/Jesus appeared to more than 500 people after His resurrection and He appeared to His disciples numerous times as well. He is the new Adam.  He is our rescue.  He is the new-man and we can look forward toward this promise at some point—and the way things are going it might be sooner than later—in the future. I posted the song by Keith Green last week: There is a redeemer.  This song is a reminder: The Lamb of God takes away the sins of the world.  No other religion or path has this promise.  These other paths never talk about the sin-nature of man. They go out of their way to avoid or deflect from it.  Yet, this is the reason why there is a police force in every city and town on this planet: The heart of man is deceitfully wicked!   In closing todays Bun: Do you know Him personally?  Do you need a rescue from your sin?  Your drug addiction, habitual lying, infidelity, bitterness, coveting what you don’t have?  The list is almost endless and this is why when we finally come to the end of ourselves He is there, to provide our rescue!  There is a redeemer!
