The “Great Flood” Caused By an Enormous Space Cloud? (Video)
I am pretty sure the Great Flood did happen. While it is popularized as a Christian story in English speaking countries, the Great Flood transcends almost every single culture around the world. So I don’t doubt it happened. But the main issue is where did the water come from? Most of theories I have seen require bending the rules of the observable reality that we live in.
Back in 2011 scientists had discovered a massive cloud of water deep in space.
So, what if as one point one of these clouds passed through our solar system? It would probably take a while to get here, maybe a couple hundred years. But during that time, a couple hundred years ago, for those 6-7 generations word of mouth was the only real way to pass history. So for them 2 or 3 generations is all it would take to be “forever”.
During that time the Sun’s reflection and heat in the atmosphere would make it appear to be sparkling water in the sky, which could explain the firmament.
Once the cloud got near Earth and we started passing through the cloud, the frozen water would melt in the atmosphere and completely saturate the air, and it would then start raining.
And it would not be localized like what we see now, it would be the entire Earth being rained on for an extended period of time. All that water would rush out to the ocean and anything near rivers or oceans, like a human population for example, would be washed out to sea and buried by all the sediment picked up from higher elevation.
Think of the world as one big mud slide. The people living in the higher elevations would not be as threatened by the flooding. And so the more advanced civilization would be destroyed and only the more simple societies in the highlands would be left, hence a reset.
Once this space cloud passed, things would settle down and Earth would have a lot more water content.

Ok so where did the water go after, it didn’t just disappear. I still stand by my theory that the “great flood” was a local event not unlike the tsunami in India. At the time these people did not have any idea how big the world really was, so if the “world” or region they lived in got the whammy to them it would have been the “world”.
The flood of in Noah’s time was a local flood and did not cover the entire earth. Noah and his family were perfect in their geneology whereas the the other peoples had been corrupted through the union with the fallen angels which produced a corrupted race of people. God had to destroy this corrupted race.
The proof that it was only a local flood is the fact that other races like Chinese, Indian, Aborigine, people with their
long history still exist today. They were not wiped out in the flood and all have recorded stories among themselves of a flood.
Who builds his upper chambers in the heavens and founds his vault upon the earth; who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out upon the surface of the earth— the Lord is his name.
Joel 2:10 ESV
The Bible tells us that there is water above the vault and it is my guess that this is why we have a blue sky. The vault is described as being a metallic glass over the earth.

Let the idea of a local flood be put to rest, Vic. The waters rose to a height of fifteen cubits ABOVE the tops of the mountains. There is nothing ‘local’ about that phenomenon. The Flood was a world-wide event. Scripture says so plainly and the geological record stands as a confirming witness.

How did diseases survive? Many diseases can’t survive in hosts other than humans. Many others can only survive in humans and in short-lived arthropod vectors. The list includes typhus, measles, smallpox, polio, gonorrhea, syphilis. For these diseases to have survived the Flood, they must all have infected one or more of the eight people aboard the Ark.
Other animals aboard the ark must have suffered from multiple diseases, too, since there are other diseases specific to other animals, and the nonspecific diseases must have been somewhere.
Host-specific diseases which don’t kill their host generally can’t survive long, since the host’s immune system eliminates them. (This doesn’t apply to diseases such as HIV and malaria which can hide from the immune system.) For example, measles can’t last for more than a few weeks in a community of less than 250,000 [Keeling & Grenfell, 1997] because it needs nonresistant hosts to infect. Since the human population aboard the ark was somewhat less than 250,000, measles and many other infectious diseases would have gone extinct during the Flood.
Some diseases that can affect a wide range of species would have found conditions on the Ark ideal for a plague. Avian viruses, for example, would have spread through the many birds on the ark. Other plagues would have affected the mammals and reptiles. Even these plague pathogens, though, would have died out after all their prospective hosts were either dead or resistant.

Seems to me we can speculate our way through that question with the greatest of ease. Diseases survived on the ark, just like people did. People were all but eradicated – so that only eight survived. Why not so with diseases? And that is to say nothing of water-borne and air-borne bacterium that survived the disaster.

But a virus or other pestilence may adapt and or mutate.

That is speculation without substantiation.

And what is the genesis of these diseases? And why could they not have been generated twice? Or even only after The Flood? Speculation upon speculation.

More difficulties? Your objections are not difficult to contend with to even a small degree. I don’t say so to be crass, but only to state what should be obvious. There aren’t any difficulties with The Flood narrative from Scripture, because a world-wide flood is what actually happened. The written Word records it. The geological record records it. Those two authorities will not be overruled by baseless speculation.

But if the flood was a tsunamis tidal surge that pushed up the Sumerian flood plain(Iraq), the Ark would have been carried to the base of Mt Arrarat up the Tigris River.
Yes Beefy, I too believe in a “Biblical World Flood”, the end of the ice-age and a -100ft rise in sea-levels. The “Moai” of Easter Island covered neck deep in silt, and Yoganumi(megalithic stone quarry of Japan) is under about 60ft of sea water.
## I reccomend a book by the British Museum Head of Assyriology(Cunieform), Irving Finkel called the “The ARK before NOAH”………at the very least it is a fascinating read, and an ark-aeological expert explains the whole history of “writing” and Sumeria society.
Like Sitchin, he too has found the original story of Enki warning Ziasudra about the coming flood. Saving the best domestic breeding pairs, and the “SEEDS” of all the crops/fruits/veg etc…….but tear down the reed house to build a boat?>>>>>>>

But this book has photo plates of 1870 “Ark-aeologists” in Iraq, with the local marsh dwellers building reed houses + giant reed coracles covered in pitch,capable of transporting cattle,across the E & T rivers,and some only enough for a child, and they were called a TUBBAH.
Today, our largest inflatable life rafts/salvation of life/emergency preservers are in the shape of a giant circular coracle with a domed or ‘central peaked roof’ to keep out the waves or rain. Seems Enki knew too, and is the image I imagine…

I think that instead of arguing about what is written in the bible, it would be better to do some geo research.
I’ve read some papers stating of world wide floods.
if the ice caps melt, we would have not much land left. Plus the greenhouse effect from the humidity would have seriously screwed up the weather for some time.
Interesting theory though, even if many questions remains open.
